Auggie's partners
"Okay," Mr Brown said. "Auggie, what was 2000 divided by 10?"
"Errrrrrrr….."Auggie struggled to answer.
Mr Brown stared at him, like every teacher does. I guess normal teachers. Some of them shout, some of them just stay quiet. I shrugged.
"Okay, the answer is…" Before Mr Brown could say the answer,his jaws dropped.
In came six clones, like Auggie, with the same deformed face and the same bag. However, they each wore different wore his Boba Fett suit, another one wore his Halloween costume, and the other few wore his other T-shirts nd normal pants. Auggie felt a stab of anger.
Snickering rose up in the classroom and the silence dropped open. People shouted protests, casting hostile glances at Auggie. Auggie shivered.
"Well, if it wasn't for Auggie and his idiotic people," Amos jeered.
"Auggie, you have clones!"Summer gasped.
Silence greeted Summer's words in the classroom. There were some envious looks casted at him, others were all mean and hostile glares.
Mr Brown was the first to recover from the shock. "Auggie…...did you bring them in?"Mr Brown asked.
"No!" Auggie snapped, clearly impatient. The bell rang, and in embarrassment, shifted his feet, putting every scrap of energy to run away.
"Well,here is Auggie….and his clones," Julian sneered." He must have be jealous that he was not popular,so he decided to build clones out of pathetic robots and send them in the middle of class.
"Ain't that sweet," Amos followed, jeering mockingly.
Auggie felt a familiar pang of anger stab through him like a sword. He felt his shoulders tense. This is unfair. He clenched his fists.
"Julian," Summer yelled at him. "Be more friendly to Auggie!"
Julian blushed and backed away.
Wow, Auggie thought.
"Haha," Jake teased. "Julian likes you."
Summer blushed. "Oh well,"Summer retorted. "He can like as much as he want.I don't mind." She shrugged. "It was only an apologize." She hurried off.
As he passed by the playground, everyone stared at him and complained about him. Even the lunch ladies complained because they have to serve six extra mouths!
"Oh, I hope my mum and dad would accept them."
As Auggie went home, he could hear murmurings and mutters.
"Hey, is that kid the one who got awarded the Beecher Prep award or something?" One of the kids murmured,staring at Auggie, dumbfounded.
"Which one of them is the kid? They all look the same to me!" Someone exclaimed.
One of them shrugged in reply.
Auggie felt his stomach fill with foreboding.
" Auggie, what are these people?" Dad demanded.
"Turn them away!"Mum said.
Auggie swallowed. "But that means that you have to turn me away."
Dad looked confused. "How can I tell which one is the real Auggie?"
"It's here!" Auggie flashed back at him.
" ,timeout !"Mum shouted.
Auggie stomped to his room,cursing them.
"Stupid robots! You made me look dumb in front of everyone! Can't you see how angry I am. Oh wait, I forgot, you cannot even read my feelings! So just… leave me alone. Okay? Leave me alone!" Without waiting for the clones' reply, Auggie slammed shut the door.
"But….. fine! You do not like us,do you? Then leave us alone!" the clones shouted.
The next day, Auggie left them and went to school. Even though his friends would ask where is the clones, Auggie said that he killed them, so everyone would stare at him in awe.
