A regular 12 year old named San was walking to Pallet town when he saw the shopkeeper from Viridian city. "Hello San, I heard that you were going to get a pokemon from the professor's lab. Here, you can have this.
The shopkeeper gives San a potion, and he puts in his back pack. He was almost at Pallet town when he sees something rustling in the grass. Out of complete curiosity, he goes into the grass and finds a yellow rodent. It was eating a berry when they felt someone watching them.
San crept closer to the electric rodent, but then it turned around and shouted "PIKA!!!" and attempted to shock him. It failed, but it tried to attack him again.
But before the rodent electrocuted him, it had gotten inside a pokeball. The person who caught the pokemon was no other than Professor Oak.
"That was close!" The Professor said. "You need to be more careful next time. In fact, come with me!"
The Professor escorted him to his lab, where his granddaughter has been waiting.
