I rest on Orion's shoulder. You know my name. My name, is Bellatrix. Unlike Bellatrix of your world, I am neither cruel nor Dark. I am a faithful warrior of Orion, which is why I rest on his shoulder. But there is one warrior who is more loyal than I, who's story I am going to tell.

Canis Major, 'the Great Dog'. Tianlang, 'celestial wolf'. Sirius. The constellation is widely associated with the Dog. There are also many associated stories with this particular Hound as well. Some say he is a faithful hound to Orion, others say to Athena. Some say he was sent into the sky for Orion, or for loyalty, or as punishment of his Master's crime. There are few stories of him that come from those who knew him, like I.

When Orion the demi-god came before the Gods, Sirius at his heel, declaring that he be granted a seat in the pantheon, the Gods refused. He was too human to be one of them, yet too godly to walk among men.
It was I who stepped forward and vouched for him in trial of combat; for I am a warrior, and a woman. Nobody ever dare deny my right to fight.
Betelgeuse, Rigel and Saiph, also loyal to Orion stood to fight. But the pantheon cast us all out.

The arguments between Orion and his warriors grew fierce that night. The tensions tightened and snapped.

It ended when blood was spilled.

Orion was close to death, Betelguese, Rigel, Saiph and I injured.

Knowing his Master would die, Sirius the Ever-Loyal, went to the Gods on Mount Olympus.

The Dog spoke to all the Pantheon, a true and honest speech declaring his master dying. The Pantheon, hushed by the Dog's loyalty and faith in his master's friends to defend his master, granted instead an honour beyond words; to the heavens Sirius and Orion were sent, to light the sky in fire and watch over the faithful.
