Disclaimer – I own nothing, wish I did but, nope. Not mine.
A/N – Okay, this kind of just formed in my head and I wanted to put a kind of trailer up to see if there's any interest. So please let me know what you think. It's a prologue, of sorts, of what's going on and of what's to come.
On the world that is known as Earth, and indeed many of its neighbouring planets, there is a tale of a hero who fights those who oppose others for their own gain, to coin a phrase this hero 'steals from the rich to give to the poor'. This man has had many names and many titles, the most popular and well known is that of Robin Hood.
And yet, few people on these worlds and on many others known that there is a man who is living this legend and who is fighting those in positions of power they did not earn for the sake of the people they now oppress. This man who travelled far away from his own home planet to explore, followed orders from those who did not see his worth, and who sacrificed his own being for those around him. Through it all he survived and once returning to that place, away from his planet of birth yet so familiar now it could be called home, it was to the discovery of a greedy and hostile takeover.
The democracy and diplomacy that his new home had gloried in was now gone, replaced by ruthlessness and cunning. Those in power only sought for their own well being and the people, who had once been happy and whole, fell into despair and depression. And those who stood up for them were quickly and efficiently arrested, for deeds against the governing body. It seemed a hopeless case, with few allies around to help those most desperate and long held enemies now courted by the new government all seemed lost and hopeless.
Yet this was not so, for one man would continue to fight, had given up so much and had so much taken away that his own being depended on his resistance. And resistance he showed them. It became unsafe for those of high government ranking to travel alone, they could not go to places once so important to the government, important documents went missing and the poor, those oppressed people started to smile again, as food and money were passed about in secret.
Through it all no man was caught, no trace could be found of those responsible for these acts and yet a name was muttered, it was on the wind and it caused both panic and glee when heard. They say that when you oppress the masses there will be among them someone who will stand up and fight, while no others can. That the people will rally behind this hero and will bring about their own freedom through this leadership. This was what brought fear and hope respectively, and all from the saying of a name.
They say that people flocked to him, when the plans of resistance where first said. That men and women, of all dispositions, travelled far and wide to join him. And such was the reason for his name, for who better to lead a flock of people then a Sheppard?
A/N – Okay, again, this is just the beginning/prologue so if you want to see more then please tell me what you thought! Ta for reading.
