Luna's eyes flickered from one broken body to the next

Luna's eyes flickered from one broken body to the next. She surveyed them with a deep sadness in her indigo colored eyes. From where she sat she couldn't tell who was alive or who was dead. She just knew that all were wounded in one way or another. She herself was wounded but it was just a slight thing, a long cut from her hip to her ankle. Nothing compared to what many others had.

The battle seemed to be separated into two sides. The older men and women who fought were on one side and as she looked them over she saw that there was not one who was not uninjured. If you looked closely…and you knew the people who lay there you could easily tell that Remus and Tonks were reaching for each other. That Snape was shielding Minerva with his body and that Bellatrix was at Voldemort's feet. She was still a dog even in death.

On the other side, however a more emotional battle had taken place. The younger ones were more emotional and this had opened old wounds. She looked them over and saw her dearest friend and emotional confidante in Draco Malfoy's arms. Their hair was mixed into a large puddle of silver-gold and red-brown. But in that pile there was also a midnight black that belonged to Blaise Zabini. He was also holding Hermione and it seemed that he was dead. Lucius Malfoy was very dead, as his wide open eyes told and was obviously killed by his own son, Draco. Near them lay Ginny, another dear friend of Luna's, holding hands with Neville. A few feet away stood a very awake Harry who was cradling his lover, Pansy Parkinson in his arms. Not too far away was Ron, sobbing over Cho's dead body. They had found solace in each other and most definitely loved each other. She turned to look at Marcus, who was her own lover and quickly looked away.

He was laying on the cold ground and seemed to be dead but only time would tell and for now, she herself would also join the unconscious.

Luna Weasley stared at the list and a few tears slipped down her cheeks. "Momma, why are you crying?" asked a small six year old boy with a shock of blonde hair and sweet black eyes. "Sweetie, I'm fine. Momma is just missing her friends," Luna said softly. Ron Weasley hugged her from behind and planted a kiss on her cheek. She kissed his nose and said, "I'm sorry, Ron. I just miss them so much sometimes." He nodded and smoothed her hair back. Another small child ran up to him screaming, "Daddy your home!" She was around four and had fiery red hair with Luna's dreamy blue eyes. He personally hated war…especially the casualties.
