The Carter Household:
Landon's Prov:
The Doctor walked into the house that we were living in. And for once he said that he got good news. " Mr. & Mrs. Carter I am pleased to tell you that Mrs. Carter is in remission right now. We are very shocked, but very pleased to say this. " The doctor said as both Jamie and I started to cry. Because in that moment we could not have been happier. We were given the one thing that we had not had before. And that was time. Time to be married and even time to have kids. The kind doctor showed himself out and gave us the space to celebrate that we needed. " Oh Landon how is this even possible?" Jamie asked. "I don't know. But to be honest Jamie I am glad. I am glad because now I can spend the rest of my life with you. And someday have children with you." I said. At this point we had been married for four months already. After the shock wore off we got out of bed and made the calls. We called my parents and her dad. Needless to say they were overjoyed. Then asked when we were having kids. All I can say is that conversation was very akward. "So Jamie are you happy how things turned out?" I asked. "Believe it or not I am. We can start a family as soon as we want to." I said. "Landon I want to try to get pregnant as soon as possible." Jamie said. " Are you sure? Is there a possiblitiy that they could inherit the cancer that almost took your life?" I asked. " Yes I am sure. And if it will put your mind at ease we will consult some doctors." Jamie said.
A Few nights later:
We were getting ready for bed when our phone was Jamie's OBYGN calling " Hi Mrs. Carter we got the blood test back and the Cancer that you had is not genetic. You are able to get pregnant without any worry about your child." The doctor said. " Thank you doctor. Goodnight." Jamie said.
