Logan loved Kendall, with all of his being. Unfortunately for him, the tall boy was crushing on someone else. Kendall gushed to Logan about how cute he thought James Diamond was, every day. That's right, James, as in the most popular boy in school. Logan usually ignored what the boy said, and nodded along. But today would be different, Logan wasn't in the mood to put up with their usual lunch conversation.

Logan sat down at there usually table, which happened to be the one in the far corner; away from everyone's bullshit. He sat in silence waiting for Kendall to arrive. The shorter boy pulled out his homemade lunch, and began eating as the blonde approached. "Hey, Logie!" Kendall spoke, way too cheerful. That was Kendall. Always too cheerful for anyone to handle, even his best friend of ten years. Logan waved, before returning back to his food. The younger boy frowned at this, staring at his friend.

"Quit staring, it's rude."

"What's wrong?"

"Do you actually care?" Logan chuckled, shaking his head.

"Of course I care, why would you ask that?" Kendall said with a hurt tone.

"No, you don't. You just want me to pay attention so you can blab about how hot you think James is. He doesn't know you exist, Ken. Stop chasing him, he's the most popular guy in school. He sleeps with everyone, you aren't in his thoughts or dreams. He doesn't look at you the way you look at him, you need to stop with this fantasy. I'm sick of talking about him everyday, can't we have a normal conversation that doesn't involve the guy that doesn't love you? God, Kendall. I don't know how else to say it to get it through your thick head. He's not interested." Logan let it all out, every bit of his pent up anger. His fists were clenched, knuckles turning white. His gaze met Kendall, only to see tears falling from his green eyes. Logan softened, suddenly regretting the sudden burst. Even though it felt good to get out, he had clearly hurt the boy he loved.

"Glad to know how you feel, Logan." The younger boy's voice sounded strained. He stood up, took one last look at the brunette, shook his head, then stomped off. Logan's heart broke at Kendall's words, he hadn't called him Logan since they were kids. He watched the boy as he left the cafeteria, sadness in his eyes. He wanted so badly to call out to him, chasing after him, and say how sorry he was. But he stayed frozen in place, because even though it hurt him, he needed to hear it. Logan loved Kendall, James didn't. James was a player and Kendall deserved so much better than that.

Logan placed his head in his hands, sighing out loud. His head was pounding and all he wanted was to go home and sleep. First he had to find Kendall, had to tell him how much his heart yearned for him.

The brown eyed boy looked up in time to see James kiss his current girlfriend. He rolled his eyes, mentally punching the pig in the face. Last week it was a guy, the week before was a freshman girl, when was this guy going to settle down? Logan shook his head, wondering what Kendall saw in him. Besides good looks and money, that is. Suddenly Logan felt self conscious, maybe he couldn't compare to James. Maybe Kendall only liked tall, gorgeous, pig-headed players. Maybe.
