"Hwooo. What a day!" A young girl, Kagome Higurashi, in her second year of high school, set her oversized yellow bag down on the snow that lined the famous Goshinboku. She dug out a large cotton blanket and a wool sweater for herself to wear. As she laid the checkerboard blanket down a though suddenly hit her.

'Christmas is coming! I promised Mama I'd do another song this year!' Kagome had been making parodies every year for the past 7 years for her mother's annual Christmas party. InuYasha, her best friend and secret dog-crush, knew she'd be leaving but she somehow just let it slip right by her.

The miko took out a pad of paper and a pencil from the 'If-I-hit-you-over-the-head-with-this-you'll-die' school bag, and began to song.

Two hours later and 12 pieces of paper she'd come up with the song.

"Do-Ri-Me-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do! Do-Ti-La-So-Fa-Me-Ri-Do! All warmed up. Here we go!"

And so the song began...

"Grandpa got ran over by a yokai
Walking round our shrine Christmas Eve
You may think there's no such thing as demons
But as for me and Mama we believe

He'd been drinkin too much sake
And we begged him not to go
But he forgot his lucky sutras
And he staggered out the door into the snow
When we found him Christmas morning
At the scene of the attack
He had tooth marks on his forehead
And the stench of miasma on his back

Grandpa got ran over by a yokai
Walking round our shrine Christmas Eve
You may think there's no such thing as demons
But as for me and Mama we believe

Now we're all so proud of Sota
He's been taking this so well
See him in there watching sumo
Drinking pop and playing games with Inu-Chan
It's not Christmas without Grandpa
All the family's dressed in black
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we open up his gifts or send them back?

Grandpa got ran over by a yokai
Walking round our shrine Christmas Eve
You may think there's no such thing as demons
But as for me and Mama we believe

Now the ramen's on the table
And the pudding's made to feed
And the blue and yellow incense
That would just have matched the shade of grandpa's teeth
I've warned all my friends and neighbors
Better watch out: 'cus you're wimps
They should never give a license
To a girl who flies a feather and plays with imps

Grandpa got ran over by a yokai
Walking round our shrine Christmas Eve
You may think there's no such thing as demons
But as for me and Mama we believe!"
