In the movie and book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Buckbeak the hippogriff and Draco Malfoy had their differences. You think you know that our loveable Beaky attacks Draco during Care of Magical Creatures class, but there's more to the story…

Before Care of Magical Creatures, Malfoy and his cronies Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle were walking ahead not to be late [what a surprise].

"Ooo! A Galleon!" cried Draco in excitement. Little did he know that it was actually a Blast-Ended Skrewt! But Crabbe and Goyle were still walking to class. Almost halfway there, they discovered something truly amazing, a nest! The nest was about the size as a trunk and it was the occupancy of 3 Quaffle sized eggs. Both Crabbe and Goyle stared at the nest and eggs in bewilderment for many moments. After a long and charred battle with the Blast-Ended Skrewt, Draco finally caught up with confused Crabbe and Goyle and was staring at the nest.

"What the heck is that?" cursed Malfoy. "I'm not sure, but whoever laid those eggs must be ginormous!" said Goyle. "I think the sky had babies at Hogwarts!" cried Crabbe foolishly. "The sky didn't have babies you idiot!" roared Malfoy, and slapped Crabbe in the back of the head. In a different part of the forest, Buckbeak was hunting. When Beaky heard the thunderous conversation, he went to investigate. When Buckbeak saw the oblivious trio near the nest, Beaky attacked the nearest person, Draco Malfoy. But little did they know, the rest of the class was there!

"What's wrong with Beaky?" said a concerned Hagrid. "It looks as though Buckbeak is on an emotional rampage and taking her anger out on Malfoy" concluded Hermione. "But where did those eggs come from?" questioned Padma Patil. "Y'eh didn't know Beaky laid these eggs?," said Hagrid. But the rest of the class was watching the attack. "I shouldn't have told y'eh that…"

"Buckbeak's a girl?" said Harry. By the nest an odd cracking sound erupted. "The babies are breaking!" screamed Crabbe, hiding behind a rock for safety. Three tiny, fragile hippogriffs emerged from the eggs. These cuties had clouded-colored wings and grey tails. When the babies saw their mommy attacking Malfoy, the baby Beakies were pecking at the rest of the class!

"Ouch! My foot!" said a Ravenclaw student. "Get off me ya little nasties!" shouted Seamus Finnegan. A half hour later, the mayhem was over. Six students, including Seamus and Draco, were sent to the hospital wing. Hagrid placed Buckbeak and her offspring in the Forbidden Forest so no one would get hurt again.

Well, you know what they say, like mother like son/daughter. But in this case it's like mother hippogriff like baby hippogriffs. I believe that we learned something today; hippogriffs hate Malfoys.
