Why am I doing this? I am being a dope and writing in this stupid diary. I guess the only reason I am, is because Susan gave it to me… I have been acting kinda strange lately, and she figured it would help me keep my mind in order…she was wrong.
But then again, it wouldn't hurt would it? I mean I have gotten into it more than I thought I would have…maybe this whole "diary" thing might actually work. Besides, Susan's right. If I don't get my thoughts and priorities in order, then I won't be able to do my job. I love my job. I wouldn't want to get fired now, would I?
Carter
Today was a wreck. An absolute wreck. Trauma's soared in like kids in a candy store. There weren't enough doctors to treat them all. A school bus rammed into a Toyota. Ugh. Half of the kids were either just cut or scraped, or broken bones. We can just thank the lord no one has died yet. Well, none of my patients at least. Wait, they were all my patients.
Ok…This whole talking about work thing has really gotten to my head. I have tears in my eyes. I'll talk about something else. My love life might be a good subject…Jacqueline just broke up with me. She said I am never spending enough time with her. She said I am away at work too much. Today just made it worse. And then when I come home I am way too tired to do anything. I am pretty sure I have lost a few pounds…eat Carter. Very bad boy Carter.
Should be going now. Shift starts in an hour.
