Prologue:

"I will miss this place."

Even though he had tried his best, the blue hair young man couldn't suppress a wistful sigh from escaping his lips as he looked at his soon-to-be old room longingly.

With a light yet sad chuckle, he picked up his suitcase and luggage before closing the door.

As he walked down the stair, his eyes caught a blur stain on the wall. The remain of a prank that the Kagamine twin had tried (and failed) to prank him a year ago. The image of the childish pout on the twin's faces were still fresh in his memory. At least after that prank, the frequency of the their prank had reduced to non-existence.

Reaching the final steps leading to the kitchen, the sight of many alcohol bottles gained his attention. He couldn't help but shake his head at the image of drunk Meiko and Haku invading his mind. He could only hope that from this day, they would at least tone down the times they drank in order to look after at their big odd family.

Turning his head slightly, the sight of the kitchen utensil and the stove made him let out another sad sigh. Ever since the day Luka had asked him to teach her how to cook, her cooking skill has continuously improved to the point she probably surpass what he could. At least his weird family would have a capable hand to make sure that they would eat healthy, not just alcohol, spring onion, banana, orange and tuna.

Oh he couldn't stop himself from laughing at the irony. Someone who had a big love for ice cream like him was the one who worried about their eating habit.

Passing the living room, the sight of a gigantic spring onion hugging pillow reminded him of the last member of the family. Miku was always the most optimistic member, no matter how bad the situation was. Probably it was one of the reasons why she was the most successful and most famous member of the Vocaloid member. And he had no doubt that her success would not stop at where it was now.

"You're done?" the Master asked in a monotone voice the moment he reached the door.

So... he guessed this was it.

"I'm done." He nodded stiffly

"Did you check that anything else left behind?" he couldn't help but mentally snort at the Master. Of course he had left some here.

It just that... he couldn't take them back. And he didn't want to, either.

"Your taxi was waiting outside."

"Thank you very much, Master." He nodded again "Please send my farewell to them... And thank you... for the time... "

The sky was dark grey and cloudy, a sigh showing that a heavy was coming near. After putting his belongings in the taxi's trunk, he entered the yellow cab's side seat with a heavy heart.

"Where to go, sir?" asked the taxi driver but his mind was too occupied to hear.

This day... was the day his carrier as a member of Vocaloid came to the final stop.

And this day... would be the day Shion Kaito returned to the normal life of a normal person.

Author's note: This idea actually has followed me long before I joined fanfiction, when I read trivia about his former status as a 'commercial failure'. While I literally have no idea where this fic will go to, I will try my best. The pairing is undecided, though I will not rule out the girls from other series so I you have any recommendation, feel free to put it in the review. And for the sake of this story, Kaito's age in this story will be 22 in the a few next chapters. Anyway, please read and review!
