"Jade?"

"What Vega?"

"What does love feel like?"

Jade looked at her from her position on the ground. They were in the park watching the clouds go by. Ever since Yerba they had grown really close. They were almost best friends now. Almost. She propped herself up on her elbows with a frown. "Well.." She didn't know how to explain it. She pondered it for a brief moment, thinking of what to say.

"My definition of love would be when you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person; and without them, your life feels incomplete." She explained, looking at the other girl, who was now sitting up with an interested look on her face before she continued. "It's when you trust the other with your life; and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone, you want nothing more than for them to be really happy- no matter what it takes because their needs come before your own."

Tori listened intently to what Jade was saying. But she found herself questioning things as well.

Jade had this far off look on her face as she stared up at the clouds while she explained what love was to her friend.

"It's when they're the last thing you think about before you go to sleep- and when they're the first thing you think of when you wake up." She let a smile tug at her lips, not noticing that Tori was now nervously toying with her hair as she chewed on her bottom lip, confusion on her face.

"Love is giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting them not to. When they're with you, your heart races. When they touch you, you get butterflies in your stomach." Jade muttered, shutting her eyes. "When you kiss, it just takes your breath away." At that, she moistened her lips a little with her tongue. "It's when you can't get the smile off your face; and you feel like you've been touched by an angel." She opened her eyes again, blinking a few times at the sunlight that invaded her vision. "You look down on everybody else because you think that they can't possibly feel what you're feeling."

Jade finally looked at her. "Love is miraculous, Tori, and when you find it, don't let it go."

Tori frowned a little. "But.. Jade. That can't be right."

"Why?" Jade asked, raising a pierced eyebrow at her friend.

The tan girl merely shrugged, dropping her head, looking down at the grass, tugging at it, muttering softly as a rosy blush covered her cheeks. "'Cause.. if that's what love is.. then I'm in love with you.."

Jade stared at her for a little while before finally speaking. "Tori?"

Tori looked at her, but before she could respond, Jade kissed her. Softly, and sweetly. They stayed like that for about a minute before Jade pulled back and mummered against her lips.

"I'm in love with you too.."
