It had been a while since Dark and Krad had disappeared. Daisuke missed his other half, while Satoshi Hiwatari, did not. He was happy Krad had disappeared, that he couldn't come into his life anymore, that the monster that had so long been inside him had finally left, for good. Most importantly he was glad that Krad couldn't hurt her. Her. The most important person in Satoshi's life…Risa Harada. She was different from other girls. There was just something about that girl with the chocolate brown hair that Satoshi couldn't help but notice. Was it that life just seemed brighter when she was around? Or was it that her smile just took out all the worries in the world? Or maybe how easily he would get lost in her chestnut eyes? Or that a small smile would come on his face every time she called his name?

He and Risa had become close friends since the disappearance of Dark and Krad. She just seemed to understand him. Risa Harada. He just couldn't get that name, or the face it belonged to, out of his head. But why? Was it possible Satoshi actually loved Risa? Deep inside, he knew he did.

He sat in the empty classroom and gave out a sigh.

Of course he wouldn't tell her. He couldn't. He wouldn't be able to handle her rejection. No. He just simply couldn't, and wouldn't. His thoughts were interrupted by someone coming inside the classroom.

"There you are!" said the person that came in.

Satoshi looked up to see none other than Risa Harada standing before him.(big surprise) A light shade of red appeared upon his cheeks as he saw her smile, which was brighter than the sun.

"Hi Harada-san," he said.

"Satoshi-kun, how many times do I have to tell you, call me Risa," she said with her smile.

"Sorry, I guess I'm not used to it," he said.

"Well, get used to it!" she said.

Satoshi smiled at her rather childish tone, "I'll try."

Risa smiled again (A/N: she's a happy person okay?) and started looking around the classroom as though looking for something.

"You want help?" she asked.

"Sure," he answered and they began cleaning the classroom together. The sound of papers moving from one place to another filled the room as a silence grew between them. After a few minutes Satoshi heard his name.

"S-Satoshi-kun?"

Satoshi looked up; Risa's face became a deep shade of red as her gaze met his.

"Yes?" he asked.

Risa looked at her feet, her face still as red as a ripe tomato.

"I-I um I-I w-wanted t-to tell you something," she stuttered.

"What is it?" he asked politely as he took a step closer to her.

Risa closed her eyes tightly gathering her courage, opened them and looked up looking right into Satoshi's deep blue eyes. It was now or never.

"Satoshi-kun, I love you," she finally said.

Satoshi froze. The person he had loved all this time, loved him too. All this time, she had felt the same way. A huge relief built inside him and he couldn't remember ever being this happy. He took Risa into a hug.

"I love you too, Risa-chan," he said with a soft smile. Risa put her arms around him, with the happiest smile on her face.

They both hoped this moment would last forever. They had longed so much to hold each other and tell the other how they felt.

Risa looked up to meet Satoshi's gaze. And they closed the space between their faces.
