2) Shion is absent in this world
Rika's Scythe flew from her grip, across the room and she was left barehanded against the enemy. Rika felt her heart racing faster then she had imagined it could. The blue haired girl started to walk backwards only to find herself followed.
Her chin was raised as the tilt of the sword blade began rising up her neck. Finally, She was cornered with no where left to go. A tear made a path down her dried cheek. It was the final battle... Before she finally realized the star she was wishing on disintegrated long ago.
Beep Beep Beep... Beep Beep Beep...
Rika woke up to her alarm that she had gotten as a present from the school. Recently she had been late to school often, so the school pitched in and bought her an alarm. It was cheep. It didn't have radio or anything, just the time and an alarm. Nothing special.
Her friends have been worrying about her, and to be honest, Rika wasn't too sure about herself either. She could notice herself loosing interest.
Hanyuu appeared in the middle of the living room with her head bowed and her hands held together. "Riiiika…." Hanyuu chirped but did not say anything more.
"I don't think I'll go to school today. I feel kind of sick…" Rika replied, her eyes barely opened as she clenched the pillow under her head. But before Hanyuu could respond three knocks echoed through the house.
Hanyuu twiddled with her fingers, staring down at them. "Um… Rika…." The purple haired girl fretted, and Rika looked across the room at Hanyuu with a mature, serious face that hit Hanyuu like a slap. Hanyuu became mute and disappeared from Rika's sight.
The blue haired one got out of her covers, scurried to put her futon away, then ran to the bathroom to put her clothes on for school. The person knocked a more times in that time period. Rika ran downstairs, to the door, sighing as she pressed her hand on the door nob. 'I wonder if I just ignored whoever is here, they will just leave….' She thought in her mind. But another knock answered that question as though the person waiting outside could hear her thoughts.
She opened the door surprised to see a girl with dark hair tied up in two buns standing there in her school uniform. She slowly haired girl who was about to knock again, but realized the door was open.
"Oh. Uh… I'm sorry. My name is Natsumi. Uh…. Kimiyoshi Natsumi. And I was told from my grandfather you live here. Is that right? You're Furude Rika? I came to get ya since ya been missing school a lot lately." She announced bluntly, but Rika just stared at the strange girl with questioning eyes.
"Um…" Natsumi turned the other way and Rika felt her embarrissment as though it was tangible. Rika felt a bit sorry she didn't respond, but Silence speaks for itself. Natsumi clenched her fist together.
Rika looked back at the stairs, biting her lips hoping Hanyuu would do something. It looks like she had been figured out. She did not need a babysitter, nor a big sister. Just a little bit of rest and she would be back to normal the next day.
Natsumi continued with determination to stay strong and get Rika to school. She began walking towards the road, then glanced Rika.
"Are you coming?" Natsumi asked, smiling.
