AN: Set in the second book, Undercover Magic, following Katie and Sophie's encounter with the magical bees in the hidden magical library under the school from the perspective of the bees.
AN2: The tunnel the bees refer to in this is the air vent leading from the magical library to the Drama studio.
Intruders.
There were intruders.
Weak, pitiful human intruders.
The hive could feel them blundering about in the library. They could feel the presence of a foe. They could feel them taking books off the shelves and that most important of books, the book the hive was cast to protect.
A tension mounted in the hive. The bees readied themselves, becoming ever more agitated. They were so close.
The book fell open and the hive launched into action.
Attack! Attack! Attack! The enemy were there, the enemy where there and the hive must attack! Protect the book, protect the library, drive them out!
They're running, they must be chased, they must pay the price, sting them, sting them, sting them! They must be chased! The intruders ran this way and that, desperately running, always they run and always they must pay!
Contact made, the Hive managed to land on one, only to be brushed off. Faster, faster, faster! They must be caught, the Hive must attack, the Hive must make them pay!
Trapped, trapped, the intruders, they are trapped! Move in, move in, move in! Finish them once and for all. They cannot be allowed to escape! They must pay the price! The Hive must be satisfied! The Hive must attack!
Fire, fire, magical fire! Curse magical fire and the witch who cast it! Curse their magic!
A tunnel, a tunnel! We hear voices, sounds and noises. Humans are there! Travel, travel, travel, we must attack, the Hive must attack, the Hive must attack.
Swarm, swarm, swarm. Humans so many humans. Young humans gathering. Sting, sting, sting, attack, attack, attack! The Hive must attack! The humans must pay, the Hive must attack.
Sated, exhausted, tired, the energy is spent. The Hive will return to it's dormant state until the next intruder comes.
