Sweet Dreams

I fall asleep,
afraid that you will invade
my dreams until it is impossible
for me to sleep.

I toss and turn,
watching you come ever so close
to me.
I try to scream and run,
but my legs seem immobile.

Then you raise your wand,
laugh and murmer those words of pain,
Raising your wand and fling it down.

The green curse hits me,
Causing acute pain that
can not be blocked out.

I stagger backwards,
Clutching the lightning bolt
that flashes across my mind.

Suddenly I awake,
my body coated in sweat,
My mind reeling,
My body screaming.

I sit up, looking at
the sleepers around me,
whose dreams are not invaded
by you.

And as I relax,
leaning back and placing you
somewhere else, something
in the back of my mind, nagging at me,
says that I can't escape this.
