"Hey, lady! You ready?"

It took me a while to realize the filthy-looking man in the dark clothes was talking to me.

"Um, ok. I mean, sure, yes!" I stammered.

What was wrong with me, I didn't even sound like myself. My voice was way too high pitched and I could feel the heat that was creeping up through me to my cheeks. I couldn't believe I was actually going through with this.

"This way." He said pointing to the other side of the door while giving me a look that said I was definitely mental for going on with this.

"Th-thanks." I took a deep breath and started walking towards the door.

I felt like I was in The Shining, with the bright light that was creeping out of the door at the end of the corridor.
I gave out an involuntary shiver once my hand was on the doorknob.

"Good luck." The filthy man said. I could tell it was earnest.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds and quickly entered the room. It was freezing cold and it was dead silent. I could almost hear my heart hammering inside of me.

"Close the door." A hard-cold voice suddenly said.

I did as I was told and turned unwillingly to face the stranger that awaited me.

I instantly relaxed when I saw that there were more than a few people in the room. I could see out of the corner of my eye a couple of men handling the equipment on my right; while on my left a tall figure stood pacing with what looked like a script in his hands. And right in front of me was the man with the creepy voice seated at a table in the center of the room.

On his left sat a face I recognized—a tiny girl with a wild pixie haircut and a brilliant dazzling smile. I couldn't help but smile back; she was practically bouncing on her chair with excitement.

"That's her, that's her!" She tried to whisper but failed miserably since everyone inside the room stopped what they were doing to look directly at me.

The man beside her simply grunted as if he could care less and turned his attention on me.

"What are you waiting for? I haven't got all day."

"Oh, sorry—I just thought—Um, isn't someone supposed to read it with me?" I knew I was blushing—dammit, I hated when that happened.

The man gave an exasperated sigh and muttered something that sounded like "newbies".

"It's ok, Caius, I'll read with her." A beautiful melodic voice from my left told him.

The guy with the script approached me and that's when I really saw him. His disheveled bronze colored hair contrasted with his emerald green eyes, and his tall muscular figure only added to his god-like features. Before I realized my mouth was hanging open.

No one told me Edward freakin' Cullen would be here!

I tried to take deep breaths but I already knew the symptoms, I would soon be hyperventilating in front of everyone and by the end of it they would all be laughing at my face with Caius in the center saying "Is this some kind of joke? Get her out of here."

Get her out of here… the words echoed in my mind.

Suddenly I felt an electric current that immediately stopped me in my tracks. What the hell?

I focused my eyes on the god standing before me; he had his hands closed tight around my own. I realized that's where that tingly feeling had come from.

Just like that I felt more confident. I gave Edward Cullen my best smile and turned to Caius giving him a small nod indicating I was about to start.

I saw the green light on the camera turn red and I knew it was my time to shine.

"You know those days when you get the mean reds?" I asked Edward with my best Holly Golightly impersonation.

A/N: Yes, I know it's short. I just want to see how people will react. If you like it I'll continue. Thanks for reading!
