For the longest time, Blanc could still remember when she and her childhood friend Vert were still small children. The brunette knows her blonde friend so well she still remembers what was once the blonde's weakness.
There was one time Vert went over to Blanc's house to play and talk about manga and stuff. She was so absorbed into talking about a series she found at a store.
"Blanny! You should definitely see this series! You see the protagonist-", before Vert could finish her sentence the electrical power got caught off leaving the house's interior in total darkness. "Hiii!", Vert instinctively hugged her friend the instant it went dark.
"Did Mina forget to pay the bills again?", Blanc said dismissively. "Verty? Are you alright?", Blanc returns the hug with one arm. It's a good thing they're the same size or it would look a bit awkward.
"Nooo! It's too dark! I can't even see Blanny!", Vert panics and hugged her friend even tighter.
"(It's getting painful). V-vert...too t-tight", Blanc thinks for a moment while suffering an airlock. "Vert can you hear me?",.
"Y-yeah", Vert's airlock loosens a bit.
"Don't worry I'm right here, okay?", Blanc felt that Vert has calmed down a bit. "I won't leave until the power is back", this time she fully returns the hug. Blanc thought that she has to distract her friend in someway. Although she hates hearing spoilers, she thinks it's better than the blonde sobbing and panicking the whole time the power is out. "S-so Verty, about that manga you bought?".
"H-huh? Yeah, so the story went like this...", Vert started recalling the first chapter of the manga she mentioned earlier. She narrated the story in full detail in a way that Blanc can imagine it even without seeing the pictures. However it turns out that Vert telling the whole first Volume of the manga to Blanc until the power was back.
"Hey the power's back", Blanc said, tapping the blonde on her back.
Vert was closing her eyes the whole time since it wasn't so different when it was pitch black inside the house. "R-really?".
"Yeah, you can open your eyes now", Blanc said reassuringly.
Vert opened her eyes to Blanc in front of her. "Yay! I can see again!", she buried her face to the brunette's collar. Vert lifts her head facing Blanc again. "Thank you for staying with me, Blanny!", she smiles at Blanc brightly.
"Y-yeah, don't mention it", Blanc wonders if it has gone too bright in the room.
"That wasn't so bad. But she eventually got over it", Blanc continues reading the manga she had in hand. She was lounging in Vert's room until the blonde came back with tea.
"Sorry for the wait", Vert enters bringing the tray with a teapot and two cups on it. "Blanc, you're reading manga?", Vert said with a surprised expression.
"What? Is it weird that I do?" Blanc said while still focusing on said manga.
"No, but you strike me as a light novel person. Pardon me if I was too shocked", Vert looks at the cover of the book Blanc was reading. "That series feels nostalgic. It reminds me when we're still little kids" Vert smiles gently.
"I agree. I didn't have the first volume of this one though".
"Now, why is that?" Vert looks at Blanc questionably.
"I just happened to listen to the audiobook version of it when it was dark", Blanc flips a page of the book.
"Ah! You don't mean-", Vert slightly blushed of the memory.
"(Oh well. I guess she hasn't got over it quite yet)", Blanc smirks raising the book a bit to hide her expression.
