Rhys had always been scared for Gwen. The police was not the safest working environment and getting caught in the crossfire was a possibility.

Then he found out about Torchwood and almost wished back the days his fears had been so one-dimensional. Now, he had to be scared that she got shot or poisoned, caught in an explosion or taken away by the Rift. Every time she came home safe, he just held her. She always told him that he was overreacting.

Nevertheless, he knew that he had every right to scared – Tosh and Owen were dead after all.
