Prologue
Today is the day. Reaping Day, where 40 witches and wizards battle it out in an arena where the Phoenix Games take place. For once, Harry just wished that the Ministry would just stop these Games and allow everyone just to live their full lives as a magical. Every year, 39 young witches and wizards have to die as a punishment for the Wand Wars which took place 100 years ago.
What Harry didn't understand is why they're punishing the people who never took part in the Wand Wars, but generations of innocents. But ever since that treaty was signed in 1892, the wizarding world has been sorted into districts of some sort based on their abilities that they had inherited as a child. The Careers (Districts 1, 2, 4 and 5) generally live a life people in other districts can only dream about; filled with luxury, training, and almost always getting one of their tributes back home from the dreaded Games.
Unfortunately, Harry was from one of the poorer districts: District 7, the Wand-Making district. Their most valuable speciality is of course the wand creation, but they also specialise in parchment, and knowledge of magical trees.
But enough about this. Let's get back to the fact that today is Reaping Day. This is the day where the tributes are chosen from the districts. 1 witch and 1 wizard.
This is the story of Phoenix Games #100.
