Annie crept out of her room, shutting it firmly behind her and walking to the living room, where her mom was doing a crossword puzzle.
"Mom?" Annie said hesitatingly.
Her mom looked up, worry filling her eyes. She sat the crossword puzzle down, and walked across the room to her daughter.
"Annie? Is something wrong?"
Annie looked down at her feet. "There's a spider in my room," she said softly. Her mother frowned, then patted Annie on the shoulder.
"Annie, why don't you go find your brother? I'll take care of the spider."
"Really?" Annie looked up at her mother hopefully, the normal sparkle of excitement returning to her eyes.
"Of course," her mother assured. Annie gave her mother a smile before skipping outside.

"You DARE come into MY house and terrorize my daughter?! I'll show you, you monster! Off to Tartarus!"
Percy jumped to his feet and ran to Annie's room to find Annabeth sitting on the floor with her dagger, looking satisfied. She looked up as Percy came in.
"There was a spider. It's gone." Percy laughed as Annabeth got to her feet, shoving the dagger into her pocket.
"Gods, I almost feel bad for the spider. Almost," he said quickly, seeing Annabeth's glare. "Because you're so terrifying when you're protecting the house from spiders."
Annabeth smiled again. "You got that right," she said smugly. Percy slipped an arm around her waist.
"Come on, let's go tell Annie she can come inside." they walked arm in arm out of the house in search of their daughter.

I started thinking (never a good sign) and realized that jack and annie are so much like percy and annabeth so THIS happened! :D I might include a couple of parts from the magic tree house books, like when Jack and Annie came home with Oki. I'm just having fun at this point ^_^ byeeee!
