Well, here goes. My first CWACOM fanfic. Wow.
I don't really have anything to say, except that I hope everyone who reads this would enjoy it.
Disclaimer: Everything mentioned in this story belong to Sony Animation Studios. Aside from the doctor, that is. I made him up.
Glasses
In all honesty, Sam really didn't like the glasses.
She really, really, really didn't like the glasses.
Ever since middle school, since she had made the decision to make herself more "liked", Sam had tried to hide the fact that she was nearsighted. After years of trying not to attempt reading (or pretend not to notice) anything too far or too small, she thought she had done it.
Her doctor had suggested that she should keep the glasses, and have the glasses "upgraded", in case she ever needed them.
Sam never thought she would need them. She was perfectly fine with blurred vision. Not everyone in New York looked that great, anyway.
That is, until he put them back on her face.
Sam had to admit, before he placed those glasses back, she never really knew what he looked like. She was able to pick him out of the crowd mainly because of his ever-present lab coat and his wild, wild hair.
When he invited her out on that "activity" and showed her the Jell-O Palace, she had been thrilled, but at the same time, she felt a little guilty. There he goes preparing her what could be the best thing she had ever gotten in her life, and she didn't even know how he looked.
So when he placed those glasses back on her face, when everything came into focus, Samantha Sparks couldn't help but jump back a little. And it wasn't just because of the closeness, either.
Sam saw for the first time how exceedingly handsome Flint Lockwood was.
That, she believed, was the moment she really fell in love with him.
Afterwards, she'd think back to all the times before, a bit bewildered that she had been with such a good-looking guy all this time and she didn't even know it.
Anyways, here's the conclusion. Sam still didn't like the glasses.
But, at least now she had a reason to wear them.
Heck, if being called nerd and laughed at was all it costs to see Flint's face clearly, then so be it.
Fin
There. That's it! A short, little one-shot that I wanted to share with everyone.
Reviews will be loved. Constructive Criticism will be appreciated. Flames will be used to roast marshmallows…that will serve as flaming arrows aiming the original flamers. XD
