Matt, Near, and Mello were sitting in the lunchroom, of there high school. Mello was sitting in a large chair. The other students were afraid of him, so they treated him like a king. He smirked as the one called Linda brought him several bars of chocolate. Another kid brought him some soda.
"Would you like anything else, Mello?" A girl asked, bowing down.
Mello got out of his chair, and said "No." and put a note on the chair.
In neat hand writing, the note said "On hiatus. Be back in five minutes."
Mello approached Matt, his best friend who was messing with Nears toy robot. Matt grabbed a remote, and the robot exploded.
"Hell yeah! Oh! Hey Mello." He said.
Mello gave Matt the soda, and watched Near cry.
A man about thirty yeas old approached the lunchroom with a knife. He barged in, and took out the knife.
"Who the hell are you?" A boy questions.
The man took the knife, and sliced down the boy's chest, watching the scarlet blood flow everywhere. He found the teacher, and slowly cut her head off from the back, enjoying her screams of agony, and horror. He finally reached the jugular, and her head popped up, scarlet blood spraying everywhere, and on the students. The man took out another knife, and threw it. It hit a small girl in the neck, and she shrieked in pain. Her blood welled over, and spilled all over the floor. He stuck a knife though the top of a kids head, and ripped down, exposing the brain. He threw it at the remaining four children, and it hit the redheaded Matt, staining his shirt, and splashing up at his goggles. He approached them slowly. He pointed his knife menacingly at Mello, and went for him.
Mello went to the ground, and kicked the man in the shins. The four ran out the classroom door.
They ran through the hallways, and outside. The simple labyrinth of hedges loomed before them, and they ran in. The killer saw Near go in last, and followed suit, trailing them. At last he had them cornered by a large apple tree.
Matt threw an apple at him, and they ran again. The reached the end of it, and ran into the dark woods.
The time was seven o'clock according to Mello's watch, and they had been running through the large stretch of forest for three hours, and every time they had begun to slow down, the man appeared.
They reached a large clearing, with some blackberry bushes, and picked some, washing them in a stream. Mello got out his plastic bag he had been saving, and dumped them in, after they ate quite a bit. The three got cornered, and when Near, Linda and Matt prepared there legs to run, Mello said
"Stop. We're going to fight."
He grabbed a rock, and knocked the knife out of the killer's hand. Matt ran, and picked it up, passing it to Mello.
Mello approached the man, and threw it at him. The knife landed in his shin, and he howled in pain, and fell over in agony. Mello grabbed the knife, and stuck the knife threw the man's chest, killing him.
Matt ran off with Near after Mello told him to get help.
Linda stayed with Mello, quivering in fear.
The police came, followed by Matt, and Near. They carried the body, and alerted the parents of the missing that there children were alright. The case had been solved, but Mello and the knife were missing.
