Chapter 1 : The last day ( part 1)
I grew up in a world separate from humans. Every day I was told that I was not to live for myself but for the sake of others. Moroi are key to our existence , they are who matter most or so I'm told. Living at my school dorm I have loved and I have lost. The one I have lost was a love of mine , Dimitri. Oh Dimitri how I miss every part of you since you became strigoi. I miss you so much .
"Rose , Rose are you alright" Lissa was shaking me . I slowly and softly removed her hands. "Yes, I am fine . Just lost in thought. Nothing serious." What time is it? I quickly glanced at the clock on my bedroom nightstand . I sighed , 9 pm . Great. "Rose what's wrong?" I turned to look at Lissa. "Lissa do you realize what today is? It's the last day before we graduate from St. Vladimir." She gave me a smile and rushed "Yeah I know, aren't you excited ? It's the last day of high school for us, come on you have to be excited." I gave her a look that made her take a few steps back . " R R Rose . . . Don't look at me like that . I don't like it . It's time to get ready for school , see yah later . I replied quickly "Yeah , later."
I got up from the chair I had been sitting in . I had originally planned to rush a shower but I couldn't rush the sweet warm water. After the shower I thought as it being my last day I would wear something appealing to the eye. A dark blue tank top with a short blue and black plaid skirt. I put my hair up and grabbed my favorite black slip ons . Then left for class .
The day passed in a blur . Most of the class time was I'll miss you's and hopes to see people in the future. Plus some comments on my outfit . When normal classes were done I headed out to practice. My last practice for combat . I'll truly miss it . Dimitri and I always practiced in the gym , oh Dimitri . my eyes began to well up with tears . I paused outside the door to wiped away the tears . Walking in to the gym , I caught the eye of my most current mentor . His name was Seth , Seth Zaitsev .Seth was built like a god . He had blonde chin length hair and sparking blue eyes , But nobody could miss that he was all lean muscle. Walking up Seth grabbed me by the shoulder and gazed at me with a serious look . Then said one word and one word only " Fight ." Instantly i jumped out of his grasp and kicked his legs out from beneath him. He rolled over and grabbed my ankle. I tried to pull away but rather he pulled me down . I landed on top of him with a thud .Seth rolled on top of me ,snatching up my wrists and slammed them on the ground . Damn it . That was a first . Seth didn't moved he just sat there , looking at me. Then he leaned down and kissed me on the cheek . What was he doing ? Why ? Then i gave him a dark look and muttered " I haven't lost yet ! " I knead him in the back . Nocking him off and then i quickly scattered . Now standing I rushed in and quickly staked him with my practice steak . " Good job Rose . I'll miss you ." He whispered the last part thinking probably that i couldn't hear him. Then he did something not expecting . He grabbed me , pulling me into a bear hug . Then let me go .
