Tony walked into the bull pen.
"How did your date with McGee go, Tony?" Ziva asked a smile on her face. Tony looked back at her and smirked.
"Haha, very funny." He retorted, "Ask McLadies man." Tony said to Ziva as he saw him coming in.
"Ask me what?" McGee asked.
"How your date with the scientist went." Tony replied.
"She's not a scientist Tony, she's a—"
"Yeah, yeah whatever. Just tell her how you learned to get a girl."
"You did not bag one Tony?" Ziva asked.
"I think you mean snag Ziva. And for your information, no, I didn't. She was out of my league."
"Gear up!" Gibbs said.
"Tony," Ziva said, noticing her partner's expression, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah fine, why?"
"You do not seem fine Tony."
"Well I am. No worries. Hakuna Matata."
"Is this one of your movie quotes?"
"Yeah, from like the best children's Disney movie of all time, The Lion King." They drove in silence for a little longer, "We're here." Tony said. Once they were done processing evidence, Ziva saw Tony leave with Gibbs. Later, she noticed that he would leave when she was in the room. Finally, after about three hours of his dodging, Tony found himself side by side to Ziva in an elevator.
"Tony." Ziva said flipping the elevator off, "You have been avoiding me like death."
"It's the plague Ziva. And if I was, I would be around you. I had the plague once. Not fun."
"You know what I mean. What did I do?"
"Nothing."
"Than why are you avoiding me?"
"I don't like the feeling I get when I'm around you."
"Ride with McGee." Ziva said turning on the switch. It hummed for a few seconds than stopped.
"You don't repulse me Ziva." He said.
"What do I do?" She asked.
"You make me feel like a middle schooler." Tony replied. Ziva stared at him.
"I think I love you." Tony blurted out.
"Is that another movie quote?"
"No, it's actually the name of a song by David Cassidy."
"Who?" Ziva asked.
"We need to teach you American music before you take that citizenship test." Tony said.
"Stop it Tony. Why have you really been avoiding me?"
"I told you. I love you, and the reason I'm avoiding you is because--"
"Tony, stop." Ziva said. She turned on the elevator. When they landed, she stepped out.
"Ziva!" He said. Suddenly Tony woke up.
"I was wondering when you were going to wake up." Ziva said.
"How long was I asleep."
"Not long, at least two hours."
"Two hours!" He said.
"Relax Tony, I am kidding. It was only about ten minutes. It is getting late, I believe we should leave, yes?"
"Yeah," Tony said getting his jacket. When they were in the elevator, Tony looked at Ziva.
"Did I talk at all in my sleep?" Tony asked. Ziva was about to speak when the doors opened.
"Good night Tony." Ziva said before she started singing softly to herself. Tony walked to his car, pretty sure he had heard her sing a certain song by one David Cassidy.
