Traditional Argument

"Muggles are weird, I'm just saying," Ron muttered, dodging Hermione's hand as she moved to cuff the side of his head.

"Why? Just because they have different traditions?" she demanded, and Harry sniggered at the look on his face. Absolute terror.

"No, but, come on Hermione! Carolling in the snow? and they don't even have warming charms, so I bet they get bloody freezing!"

Harry waited for Hermione to rebut him, and Ron cowered slightly in his chair.

Nothing came.

"Hermione?" Harry asked, watching her carefully. She was frowning at Ron, her mouth moving as though she was about to talk, and then closing again.

"Hermione?" Ron tried, raising his eyebrow at her a little.

"You're right," she muttered sinking back into her chair. "I can't believe you're right."

This set Harry off laughing, and Ron seemed to be somewhere between affronted at her disbelief, and proud that he had beat her in an argument. It really didn't happen all that often.

They were interrupted by a knock at the door, which Harry stood to answer. He was expecting Ginny, any minute.

Instead, he found Luna standing there with a serene smile.

"Hey, Luna. Come in," Harry greeted, stepping back to allow his friend through. They entered the living room, to find Ron coaxing Hermione into a kiss, and Harry chuckled again.

"What can we do for you, Luna?" he asked, gesturing to a seat as he retook his own.

"I planned to go Christmas Carolling, I wondered if you would care to join me?"

"It's still two weeks until Christmas, Luna. A bit early, don't you think?"

"Perhaps, but it's snowing. Carolling in the snow is wonderful."

Harry glanced at Ron and Hermione, who were both smiling at their blonde friend. Ron in particular looked like he was choking on a laugh.

"We'll come with you, won't we guys," Harry said with a grin. "We've just got to hang on for Ginny."

Hermione nodded, and Ron grinned.

"We'll just have to remember the warming charms."
