Fate has been cruel and luck is unkind
How could I have hurt you this way?
The blame was my own
the punishment yours
the peace was disrupted that day...
but into the darkness
I'll bring you a song
and I will your company keep
'Till your tired eyes and sweet lullabies
have carried you softly to sleep...
once did a child as bright as the sun
look out of his window and sigh
he smiled and said
"surely there was nobody as special and so well loved as I."
so great was his brain
so brilliant his heart
but long was the shadow he cast
which fell dark nearby his uncle's feet
and grew only closer as days and nights passed...
soon did that child posses some strange powers
that no one could understand
he felt more powerful than before
and smiled as his selfishness grew by command...
but such is the way of the limelight it sweetly
takes over the mind of its host
and that foolish child did nothing to stop
the destruction of one who he had needed most
