Hi guys!

So... this is a translation of one of my stories (Original title: Borboleta). My native language is actually portuguese, so I apologize for any mistakes in the writing... I'm trying to practice a little bit of my english, so I just realized I could do that translating some of my fanfictions... :)

I hope you enjoy the story and maybe let me know what you think about it with some reviews... ^_^

Love,

Calla Lily.

Butterfly

Because the only way to fill that emptiness in her life was to form a cocoon of change and reinvent herself, to metamorphose ...

Chapter 1

Konoha's sky was almost cloudless on that early spring night. A certain young woman with pink hair watched, from her window, with emerald eyes, the full moon that reigned serene in the firmament.

Young Haruno Sakura reflected on recent events in her life. She had just become a jounin, at the same time as she was finishing her training as a medical ninja, and, modesty aside, she was the best doctor-nin after her shishou, the Hokage Tsunade. A few months ago she had reached the age of 20, and had good probabilities of joining ANBU. She had a brilliant career.

Sakura took a deep breath, watching the small cherry blossom buds that protruded into her window. Despite so many achievements in her life, she felt like those flower buds: incomplete, immature. There was something missing in her heart: a confuse and strange feeling of emptiness had been with her ever since Sasuke had returned to the village. She did not understand exactly what had changed in her feelings, but something was different.

The moment she reached that conclusion, she saw a small caterpillar on the cherry branch beginning to form a cocoon. She smiled lightly and turned back to her bed to lie down and sleep.

Sakura walked alone down a narrow, dark hallway, feeling a tightness in her chest. She walked long enough to feel tired and discouraged. She stopped walking, closing her eyes. She felt a light touch on her face, and when she opened her eyes she saw a butterfly on her cheek. The insect began to fly, as soon as it was perceived by her eyes, toward a door that emanated an intense light.

- Sakura ...- a calm, almost lazy voice resounded.

- Who is it?- The girl wondered, finding the voice familiar ...

As she began to walk toward the light, she suddenly felt a weight in her hands. She lifted them with some difficulty and saw what she held: In her right hand, a photo frame with Sasuke's picture, in her left hand, a doll.

- Sakura ... - Now there was a silhouette in the light.

The girl looked from the objects to the person who called her.

- Sakura ...- The same calm voice continued to call her.

The girl dropped the objects on the floor, shattering the glass of the photo frame and ran toward the light.

Sakura opened her eyes and looked around with some strangeness.

- What a weird dream I had... - she said to herself, rising slowly and rubbing her eyes.

She reflected for a moment on the dream and went to the bathroom to take a shower and prepare to start the day.

Ino was walking fast on the halls of the hospital, looking impatiently for a certain orthopedist ...

- Finally, Forehead! I found your hiding spot!

- Good morning, little pig ... - Sakura said with a smile, but without stopping the bandage on the arm of a patient.

- As soon as you're done, I need you to come with me.

- Hikari, pass the guidelines on sanitizing the wound for him, please. - Sakura said to one of the nurses, fixing the ends of the dressing bands.

- Yes, doctor.

- What is it, Ino? What happened? - she asked as they walked down the hall.

- Kakashi is in the hospital, he hurt himself on a mission.

Sakura started waking considerably faster

- When did he arrive? – Sakura asked, almost running now.

- Just a few minutes ago... He's in room 202 ...

Sakura entered the room worried, but as she visualized the patient, she relaxed a little.

- Kakashi sensei...

-Yo, Sakura-chan. - Kakashi said with his usual lazy smile.

- So ... the usual? - she said, gesturing toward the man's immobilized limbs.

- It seems so... - he said, leaning back on the pillow, discouraged.

Sakura smiled fondly, moving closer to the bed and starting to work on the fractures and injuries. Kakashi closed his eyes and relaxed his body unconsciously as he felt Sakura's chakra circulate through his muscles and bones. Ino watched them with a wicked smile, just before she moved away quietly.

- I heard you just finished specializing in orthopedics ... Congratulations. - he said with a smile.

- Thank you, Kakashi-sensei ...

- When you're done, please, can you bring me a walking stick? Because I felt 80 years old, with you calling me a sensei, Sakura-chan. - he said with a wry smile.

Sakura looked at Kakashi in amazement, but when she saw his smile, she said:

- Don't you prefer a walker? Since you're feeling so old ... - She laughed before continuing.

- It's just because of habit, Kakashi ... But you're right. It's time to put some childish habits aside. - she said with a smile, remembering the dream she'd had.

Kakashi laughed and traced Sakura's beautiful, concentrated features once more before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
