A new Fairy Tail short! It was an idea that randomly came to me whilst browsing pictures on Tumblr. It's only a oneshot and won't be very long at all. Just thought I'd write it up and share it for everyone instead of just letting it collect dust on my desktop. Since I'm trash, it's NaLu, Jerza and Gajevy. So if you no likey my otp's, don't read and we will all be happy ^-^

So enjoy!

"We can't keep living like this! At this rate, the Worlds going to die and all she can do is sit there and cry?"

A heavy hand landed on the wooden table, it began to glow a golden colour, shaking with rage. "Doesn't anybody seem to care? It been fifty years."

The room was heavy with apprehension, the leaves recoiling with fear, the birds vanishing at the sound of their Masters voice. The whole tree seemed to shudder, the roots curling away the anger swept in hot waves through the hollowed tree.

"No need to get so upset Natsu" another sharp tinged voice came. "People do care, I've done all I can, but yet, my greatest efforts have not done a thing to aide in our dire position." With arms folded across her chest, the Warlord of Autumn blew away a long red strand away from her face irritably.

Withdrawing his fist from the table, breathing deep to control his anger, was the Warlord of Summer. Natsu had lost his temper, running an exasperated hand through his tousled pink hair, sending a hopeless gaze through the window. His expression helpless as he focused on the snow falling down outside.

"I'm at a loss Erza" he said quietly, sending a pained expression to his fellow Warlord. "Our world has fallen into Eternal Winter. He sits there laughing at us, he knows we can't do a thing unless she gets her act in gear."

Fall Warlord Erza, sent her own gaze to the snow outside. "I would tell you to be patient" she admitted to the furious Summer Lord adjacent her, "But after fifty years, the point seems moot. The Worlds tribulations are on the line and the Spring Lord cannot seem to summon her strength."

Natsu smacked his hands together, embers and shards of light exploding from his knuckles as he did so. "Maybe I should go smack some sense into her. How much more time do we have to give her?"

"Enough" Erza scolded him, striding to the window and glaring to the snow. "Do you want her to fear you more than what she already does Natsu? Violence won't solve the answer with our problem with the Spring."

"Would fix the issue with the stripper" Natsu grumbled.

"You know we can't get close to him with the way we are now!" Erza spun around back to her companion, "We have not drawn upon the power of our Nature for half a century. I hate to admit it, but Gray will annihilate us on the spot the moment we enter is domain."

"Stupid Ice-Brain."

With his last grumbled words on his lips, Natsu tucked up his scarf and strode to the entryway of the hollow. "We may as wait for Death to come knocking any day now" he finally sighed, "Stupid Gajeel, I wish I can punch his lights out as well."

With the last statement, the Warlord of Summer left, the Autumn Warlord staring out at the snow forlornly. "We're dying" she whispered to no one, watching her breath turning to mist before her eyes, "We need you Levy…More than ever."

"Are you still in here Shrimp?"

The door to her library open and shut again. The tiny, blue haired Nymph fluttering her wings with irritation. "Back again Gajeel?" she asked coldly, her eyes narrowing behind her red framed glasses. "Come to collect more of my companions of Spring?"

She looked at the grizzled young man before her, then she let a sad sigh escape her. Closing the book she had opened in front of her with a loud 'thump.' "Is it still snowing out there" she was almost afraid to ask.

Gajeel nodded, shaking his hair, letting the snowflakes fall from his ebony mane. "The Exhibitionist is relentless this time around" he growled, "I think he's aiming to kill a lot more this year. I haven't stopped collecting all week!"

He strode past Levy and the long, comforting lounges sprawled out in the center of Levy's library, kicking off his large, black boots and letting them drop to the ground and spraying snow around on the floor.

Levy curled her arms around her chest protectively, her face paling as she got up from her chair and started to walk around her domain. She watched the flowers ping from her every footstep, feeling more guilt eat away at her chest.

Looking up at her spacious library, Levy saw the canopy of the large tress crisscrossing above protectively. Though, she could easily see that the leaves were struggling against the onset of snow.

She glanced over at Gajeel, now dozing with his hands splayed lazily behind his head. "Its bad out there isn't it?" she asked quietly, red colouring her cheeks.

Gajeel opened one, blood red eye at her. "It's been bad for fifty years" he grunted, "I'm Death and I'm struggling to keep up. Might have to hire another set of hands if this doesn't let up."

Levy looked away in shame, refusing to let Death see her tears of chagrin. This was her fault, she was acutely aware of it every day. People were dying because of her and she knew that the other Warlords of Nature were not impressed with her actions towards this endless Winter. Well…Except the Winter Warlord Gray Fullbuster."

"What are you going to do about it?" Gajeel asked, regaining the Nymph's attention.

"Pardon me?"

"Spring comes after Winter Shrimp" Gajeel growled, letting his hands down and sitting up so he could look her in the eye. "It's on your shoulders to regain the land and bring Spring back to the World. Go take it back!"

"You know I can't do that!" Levy suddenly shouted at him, unfurling her arms in frustration. Green mists escaped her palms and two lines of roses following the patterns of her arms sprung to life.

However, these roses were gnarled, twisted with anger. The thorns choking the blood red petals of the flower itself.

"I'm not strong enough to take Winter away" she cried, "I've told you! Ever since the last Warlord died, Gray knew that I didn't know all of my powers! I will never be as strong as he is. He'll kill me on the spot if I tried to take the land off him."

"Only you can do it" Gajeel stated, getting up from the lounge and striding over to her. Standing in front of, his eyes glaring down at her disapprovingly, Levy again looked away sniffling pathetically.

"Natsu and Erza cant help me with my powers. They loathe me" she moaned, covring her face with a hand now. It will be Winter forever because I'm a coward."

There was a moment of silence, before Death let a large breath escape his nostrils. "I know of someone who might be able to help." He finally growled.

This piqued Levy's interest. She lowered her hand and looked back at the shadows swirling Gajeel. The young man bending an arm towards a rose and grasping the stem, ignoring the thorns that jabbed viciously into the leather of his gloves.

The red petals instantly wilted slighty and turned the colour of darkness. The thorns retreating, dying off the stem as the ebony petals seemed to bloom with life.

He handed it to her. "You may not like it though" he admitted.

"I'll try anything" Levy vowed, taking the petal gingerly and bringing it up to her nose to smell it. It smelt of death and decay.

"The Fifth Element" Gajeel started, his eyes flashing.

"Aether?"

"I've met her a couple of time" Gajeel nodded, "The Element of Spirit, The Quintessant. Lucy Heartfilia. If anybody can help you unlock your bound powers, it will be her. But, here's the hard part."

Levy' heart sunk further at his words.

"She was imprisoned some years back by the Ice-Head" Gajeel snarled, "She serves him from a remote place. I lost her about two decades back and only one other person knows where she is the Flame Idiot Natsu Dragneel."

If there was someone Levy feared more than Gray, it was the hot tempered Summer Lord Natsu. He had never been nice to her, especially when he confronted her for the first time and she said she wasn't strong enough to take Winter away.

She had spent five decades hiding from the murderous gaze of the Summer Lord. Ashamed to show her face, her humility eating her away when she saw him or even the Autumn Warlord Erza Scarlet.

"Find him" Gajeel stepped away from her, "Convince him you are worthy enough to go see the Quintessant and get her help. Then you'll be able to snatch Winter from underneath Fullbuster's feet."

He looked to the door once more, his face twisting into a grimace and Levy only knew what that meant. Death had to go back out collecting.

"I have to back out into the snow?" Gajeel didn't sound impressed, turning heel he stomped back to the lounge and started pulling his boots back on.

Behind him, Levy looked back down at the ebony rose in her hand. "Thank you Gajeel" she said quietly, nearly not being able to hear herself.

The wind outside began to pick up and from the shadows of the library a black figure began to manifest from the darkness. "We have to go now Gajeel."

Two large, black paws appeared and from the corner of the room, a large black panther appeared. His red eyes narrowed and scarred face unamused.

Gajeel's partner. Pantherlily.

Lily stepped up beside Levy standing nearly as tall as her shoulder, a massive beast capable of taking down armies.

She petted behind his tattered ear affectionately and she smirked when she heard the brief purr in Lily's chest before he quashed it and growled at Gajeel as the man stomped over, grumbling underneath his breath.

Grabbing his coat from a branch in the wall, Gajeel wrapped himself up in it and wound his scarf around his neck. "Come on then Lily" he growled before looking back at Levy and landing a heavy hand on her shoulder. "Remember what I said" he told her. "Don't give up. I don't want to come collect your cold, dead body off the floor either."

Lifitng his hand away, Gajeel threw open the door to the howling blizzard outside and disappeared within, Lily in tow. The door slammed shut behind them and letting a defeated sigh escape her, Spring Lord Levy walked back to her desk.

Throwing herself back onto her tree stump acting as her seat, Levy looked back at the rose that Gajeel had handed her. Sighing as she saw the now dead, withered rose clenched between her fingers, the petals wizened and brown.

"I hope your right Gajeel" she said to herself, trying to give herself courage. "Pray to the Heavens that this Lucy, gives me the power to breathe in Winter and breathe out Spring." She placed the dead rose beside her quills.

"Now" she breathed, "Now to find him…"

Natsu watched the blizzard howl around his Park. From inside is large Summer Hollow, Natsu was sheltered, but his acute ears were able to hear the trees groaning in protest as it stood bravely against the onslaught of Winter.

Every year Gray went unchallenged, the stronger he got and the worse his storms and Winter became. Natsu was now at his wits end, as Summer Warlord, there was not a single thing he could do.

He wouldn't even be able to lift a finger against Gray and this angered him greatly. His hands curled into fists beside him, fire starting to erupt around them in his blazing temper. "Stupid Stripper" he snarled.

Behind him, dozing on a large comforter bathed in sunlight, was Natsu's own Cat companion. Blazing blue Happy. Unlike Pantherlily who was shrouded in shadows, Happy fur was alive in blue flames. One touch from a normal person and they would most likely lose their entire limb.

Happy opened a lazy, yellow eye before yawning greatly. "Are you still standing there?" he asked, "You haven't moved ever since you came back from your meeting with Erza."

"I'm angry" Natsu stated bluntly, "I don't know how the others can stand by and not be upset by this? I seem to be the only one that cares at what happens with the world!"

"I'm sure the others care" Happy yawned, "But I don't know what you want them to do Natsu. There's nothing they can do, they are just as useless as you."

"Hey!" Natsu exclaimed, spinning around in a twirl of embers "I'm not useless! If I was the right Nature, I would fight till my very last breath to take Winter away!"

"Uh huh" Happy didn't sound convinced, "Sure you would."

"I'd do more than Levy" Natsu grouched.

Happy lifted his head, his yellow eyes staring through the window, whickers twitching at the scene before him. "We'll probably see Gajeel in the Park after this" he stated, lowering his head and flattening his ears, "This is so hopeless."

Happy flickered in surprise when he felt a heavy hand fall on his head and rub his fur reassuringly. His yellow eyes rested on Natsu, who smiled down at him. "We'll get through this, no matter how many time you tell me I'm useless."

Happy purred loudly, enjoying the pat from his Master.

"Now" Natsu looked at the Blizzard beyond. "Once this dies down. I think we can go visit Lucy. She can always cheer us up."

"Yeah!" Happy agreed.
