It was the evening after the Battle of Sugar Rush, which was going to be the name of the whole Turbo/Cy-Bug/game reset incident. Felix couldn't wait to see Tamora again and of course Ralph wanted to see Vanellope again. They had to finish their long goodbye for one thing.

"Miss Calhoun, ma'am." Felix honeyglowed as he saw Sergeant Calhoun coming towards him in Game Central Station. "I was just coming over to see you."

"I figured Fix-It." Sergeant Calhoun smirked. "That's why I came on my hoverboard, wanted to save you the long trip."

"Oh it's no trouble." Felix waved a hand dismissively.

"Well, I also figured it would be better to hang out in your game." Sergeant Calhoun shrugged. "No Cy-Bugs to worry about."

"Right, good point." Felix had to admit.

"Hey Wreck-It, gonna be careful about letting in a virus into Sugar Rush this time?" Sergeant Calhoun smirked to Ralph.

"You're never gonna let that go are you?" Ralph rolled his eyes.

"I might eventually, if you promise not to invade my game while a gamer is playing anymore."

"Don't worry about that." Ralph chuckled before wincing: "No offense but your game is pretty much the last game I'd ever want to visit again."

"None taken, actually I don't blame you."

"Yeah...well, gotta go." Ralph turned to leave. "Vanellope's waiting."

"See ya later brother." Felix waved.

Ralph continued on until the start of the race track in Sugar Rush was in good view. There was Vanellope and the other racers talking excitedly about all the races they went through.

"Hey President Fart-Feathers!" Ralph called.

Vanellope turned around and beamed.

"Stinkbrain!" She laughed, running over to give him a hug. "Hey did ya see me race?"

"Loads of times!" Ralph grinned proudly before setting her down. "I can see why Turbo considered you a threat, you're definitely a better racer than him."

"Thanks." Vanellope grinned before looking a bit serious. "So, King Ca-uh-Turbo tricked you into destroying my kart huh?"

"Yeah." Ralph became solemn. "He...he said that if you made it into the list of selected gamers and someone picked you...and then saw you glitch...they might think that something was wrong with the game. Then the game could be unplugged...and since you couldn't leave the game at the time..." He almost broke down but managed to compose himself. "I didn't want to lose you."

Vanellope became somber and gently put her hands on Ralph's hand.

"You'll never lose me." She reassured him.

Ralph smiled at her.

"Now, enough with the depressing subjects." Vanellope perked up. "Let's go have some fun." She suddenly glitched away. "Bet ya can't catch me!"

"Bet I can!" Ralph laughed, running after her. "Hey come back here!"

As he and Vanellope had fun Felix and Sergeant Calhoun talked in Fix-It-Felix Jr. For one thing Sergeant Calhoun had decided to tell Felix her backstory.

"I'm really sorry ma'am." Felix said sympathetically.

"Forget it, I mean it's all in the past." Sergeant Calhoun shrugged. "I admit it's why I was reluctant to date again, but you...well, there's something different about you, something I can't ignore. And please, call me Tamora. That's my first name."

"It's beautiful, and I will on one condition." Felix smiled.

"What is it Fix-It?"

"That you call me Felix."

Tamora smiled.

"It's a deal." She agreed.

It was later that night and all the characters had gone to bed. Vanellope slept for the first time in years in her bed in her castle. She had to admit it was a wonderful change from her old bed in Diet Cola Mountain, though it was going to take her some time to get used to it.

Suddenly, she was back near the entrance to Sugar Rush with Cy-Bugs advancing on her, Felix, and Sergeant Calhoun. Ralph was in the arms of the King Candy-Cy-Bug hybrid but then started falling towards Diet Cola Mountain.

"Ralph!" She gasped, running ahead.

"Vanellope!" Felix cried.

Not listening to him, Vanellope just kept on glitching past the Cy-Bugs until she reached a kart. She then got in the kart and drove towards the secret entrance to the mountain, using her glitching to propel her forward faster. She kept going, hoping to make it to Ralph in time...but to her horror, she missed Ralph! He was already below her by the time she leapt off the track!

"Ralph!" She cried.

"Kid!" Ralph was shocked. "Forget about me, get out of here!"

Vanellope had no choice. She quickly glitched past the mountain wall and landed in a chocolate puddle. A burst of Diet Cola came out of the top of the mountain.

"NOO!" Vanellope cried.

After all the Cy-Bugs were gone and the explosion cooled down, Vanellope glitched all over trying to find Ralph. She did, and didn't like what she saw: Ralph, burnt up and unconscious, lying on the ground.

"No." She said. "NO!"

She ran over to him and took his hand in hers. No reaction.

"No Ralph, please." Vanellope started to sob.

Felix and Sergeant Calhoun showed up.

"Oh no..." Felix said sadly.

"Ralph." Vanellope sobbed. "Please wake up, please. Ralph no."

She started to cry heartbrokenly on Ralph.

Next thing she knew, she had woken up in her bed in her castle. Sour Bill was standing next to her.

"Are you okay Madam President?" He asked.

Vanellope realized that she just had a nightmare.

"Oh..." She calmed down. "Yeah I'm fine, I just...had a nightmare where I wasn't able to save Ralph."

"It's okay." Sour Bill said comfortingly. "There's nothing more to worry about. And Ralph is fine and most likely asleep in his own game."

"Yeah, you're right." Vanellope smiled; she then sat up and hugged Sour Bill. "Thank you."

Sour Bill hugged her back.

"You're welcome." He said. "Now, back to sleep. You'll probably have a long day tomorrow, you've already become very popular."

"Yeah." Vanellope got back under the covers. "See you in the morning."

"Goodnight Madam President." Sour Bill left.

"Just call me Vanellope." Vanellope chuckled. "Or President Vanellope if you still want to be formal."

"Okay...President Vanellope." Sour Bill nodded.

That morning, Vanellope got up, got ready, and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning everyone." She greeted those who worked in the palace.

"Good morning Madam President. Good morning President Vanellope." The palace staff said randomly.

Vanellope then entered the kitchen where she saw Sour Bill already eating.

"Good morning President Vanellope." Sour Bill said. "Did you sleep better?"

"Oh yeah, that bed is a lot comfier than my old bed back in Diet Cola Mountain." Vanellope grinned as she started her breakfast, which a cook set down for her.

Sour Bill gave her a strange look.

"What?" Vanellope asked, confused.

"Uh, nothing." Sour Bill decided to let it go.

He was confused though, did she forget about the nightmare she had last night?

Meanwhile, Ralph and Felix were waking up and getting ready too. Felix went downstairs to see how Ralph was doing. The previous night, before they went to bed, Felix and Ralph built Ralph a decent home to live in so Felix ended up finding Ralph sitting on his front steps. He was looking a bit down.

"Ralph?" Felix said. "You okay brother?"

"Yeah, just had a nightmare last night." Ralph explained.

"I'm not surprised, considering the adventure we had a couple days ago." Felix sat down next to him. "What was it about?"

"Remember how I had flown over to Diet Cola Mountain to create a beacon?" Ralph said. "Well in my nightmare a Cy-Bug had broken Sergeant Calhoun's hoverboard before I could use it, so I had no way of quickly getting to the mountain. A Cy-Bug then almost ate Vanellope but she glitched away...only to be...to be squished under another Cy-Bug's foot." Ralph nearly sobbed but caught himself. "I wrecked away some of the Cy-Bugs so that I could get to her but it was too late, she was dead. And I had no other choice but to leave her behind, I couldn't even give her a funeral."

"Oh Ralph..." Felix said sympathetically. "That's awful. Thank goodness it didn't really happen."

"I know, you can't imagine how relieved I was when I woke up." Ralph sighed.

"I kinda can...I had a nightmare too." Felix sighed.

Ralph looked at him not exactly surprised...more like a combination of surprised and understanding.

"It wasn't anything like yours though." Felix continued. "It even took place after the whole Turbo incident. I was visiting Tamora - Sergeant Calhoun said I can call her that, it's her first name - and she didn't want to hang out. Instead she...she rejected me. She said I was too short for her, and that I wasn't manly enough for her. She...she said she didn't want to see me again. My-my heart almost broke...fortunately I woke up before that happened." He started to sob.

"Oh Felix, like that would ever happen." Ralph shook his head. "I mean we've only known her for about a couple days but even so I can see that she really likes you. And if she ever does reject you it wouldn't be for a ridiculous reason like you being too short. It would be for something more like being scared of losing you to a Cy-Bug."

"Yeah...maybe..." Felix sighed.

Ralph then got it: Felix was insecure of being with Sergeant Calhoun.

"Look, why don't you just talk to Sergeant Calhoun about it today after the arcade closes?" Ralph suggested. "I'm sure she'll agree with me."

"Okay." Felix nodded reluctantly. "I might as well get it over with anyway."

The arcade then opened, so they had to stop talking and get to work.

After the arcade closed Ralph headed for Sugar Rush while Felix sadly walked to Hero's Duty. This time Tamora didn't meet him halfway or closer for some reason. Once he went through the gate he saw her coming out of the train that led into her game.

"Hey Felix." Tamora smiled. "Sorry I'm late, our game was really busy today so I had to make sure that the soldiers would be able to get back to their homes without hurting themselves. A lot of them were really tired."

"It's okay." Felix said awkwardly.

"Something wrong?"

"Yeah I...I had a nightmare last night."

Tamora went over to a part of her game's train stop where she could sit down, then gestured for Felix to join her. Felix did so.

"Want to tell me about it?" She asked.

"That's one of the reasons why I came over." Felix nodded before telling her what happened in his nightmare. "And I admit, you rejecting me and...and not wanting to see me again nearly broke my heart. I woke up before it could happen though."

Tamora looked at him surprised and maybe even a little remorseful. She had no idea that he loved her that much.

"Felix, believe me I would never reject you for such stupid reasons." She said. "I don't care about looks, and you're wrong about the unmanly part. I mean you were willing to put yourself in danger just to make sure that Wreck-It would be okay and that is very manly."

Felix smiled at her with relief. His smile dropped when he saw her sad/remorseful look though.

"The cruel irony though, is that I was about to suggest that we just stay friends instead of starting a relationship." Tamora admitted. "See, I had a nightmare too. It was about me getting married again, only you were the groom."

Felix honeyglowed.

"But then...then a Cy-Bug crashed the wedding-" She couldn't finish.

Felix understood.

"Basically it was your backstory all over again, except with me instead of Brad." He finished for her.

"Exactly." Tamora nodded. "I-I just can't lose anyone else, especially not to those monsters."

"Tamora." Felix said reassuringly. "Trust me on this: I know you would never ever let history repeat itself no matter what. Why I'll bet that when we do get married - uh, you know, if we ever do - you'll put so many of your soldiers on guard that all the Cy-Bugs would be too terrified to show up. And even if I did get eaten by a Cy-Bug, I would never regret it. I'd rather risk getting eaten by a Cy-Bug just to be with you then spend the rest of eternity without you in my life, especially since I know that we have a chance."

Tamora looked at him stunned.

"And that just proved that you really are manly Felix." She smiled. "Only a real man would follow his heart even if it might cost him his life."

"Tammy, you are my life." Felix admitted. "I mean okay, my game means a lot to me and I would never let Ralph or the Nicelanders down for anything, but if I were to lose my game I would be fine. I could handle living in Game Central Station, I'd probably even like it. But if I ever lost you...I just wouldn't want to continue living. Oh I'd stay alive, but only for Ralph and the Nicelanders, to make sure that they wouldn't end up living in Game Central Station."

"Wha-what did you call me?" Tamora was shocked. "Not even Brad called me Tammy."

"I'm sorry if I offended you, but you really do mean that much to me."

"No it's fine, it's just...I thought I wasn't the 'cute nickname' type." Tamora admitted. "I thought no one would ever see me as anything other than a cruel heartless Sergeant."

"You are nothing of the kind." Felix shook his head. "Okay, I admit my feelings for you were at first because of your looks. I haven't left my game in years so you were the first high-definition woman I ever saw, and I guess I was affected by the amazing details on your face. But as I got to know you more I saw the kind of woman you really are and I fell hopelessly in love with that woman. What I see when I look at you is a woman who had been hurt and is doing everything she can to prevent others from suffering the same pain. Otherwise deep down she is a kind and caring person who puts others before herself. And truthfully I'm the same way, only I don't hide my kind and caring side like you do."

Tamora suddenly hugged him.

"That's it...that's what's different about you." She said. "You see me as a person, as a good person. The other guys just see me as Sergeant or Bossy Lady or something like that."

"I see you as a good person because you are a good person." Felix hugged her back.

Felix then made the bold move of kissing her. And not on the cheek this time either. She smiled and returned the kiss.

"You know what? To hell with the Cy-Bugs." Tamora smiled after they ended the kiss. "I do love you so nothing is going to stop me from being with you. And if even a baby Cy-Bug comes near you I will smush that bug until it's goo."

"I'm counting on it." Felix grinned.

The months passed. Eventually Felix worked up the courage to propose and Tamora of course accepted.

It was now a few days after the wedding. Felix was in his apartment gazing out the window when Tamora approached him with a couple mugs of tea.

"Something wrong sweetie?" She asked.

"No, I was just thinking about how lucky I am. I just still can't believe that you love me back let alone were willing to marry me." Felix turned around with a smile. "But I know I'm not dreaming either because this is so much better than a dream."

He then started to sing:

It's so amazing
So strange and so rare
That I can look to my side
And find you standing there

Unexpectedly, Tamora joined in:

The thought is so dazing
I can't believe my mind
To think that I now possess
The dream my heart designed

Felix beamed at her, touched that she was willing to sing with him. He then sung the next verse.

I never thought
I never knew
Against all odds

Tamora sang with him now.

That we'd make it through

Somehow it's so amazing
Who could explain?
Who could predict?
This love is so amazing

TAMORA:
Who ever thought?

FELIX:
Who ever knew?

Two different lives in their
Two different worlds

TAMORA:
Somehow suddenly bound
Is this great new love?

BOTH:
New love
True love

They hugged.

"It really is amazing Felix." Tamora said. "Before I met you I thought I would never find someone else. And then I find someone even better than Brad."

"I'm better than Brad?" Felix was surprised.

"Yes, because you're not part of a backstory." Tamora smiled. "You're real."

What they didn't know was that their song had been overheard. Ralph had just got back from another Bad Anon meeting. Even though he didn't need the support group anymore he still liked going to see his bad-guy friends.

"Huh, didn't know Tamora liked singing." Ralph said to himself as he headed for home; he then smiled. "They're both very lucky. Felix has someone who sees him for being a hero in his heart instead of a hero in his game, and Tamora has found a guy who can look past her rough and tough exterior and see the good heart she has. I hope I'm as lucky as them in the future."

Yeah by this point Tamora allowed Ralph and Vanellope to call her by her first name too. Secondary friends like Q*Bert and the other Racers could just call her Calhoun or Miss Calhoun, but to everyone else she was still Sergeant Calhoun.
