"Ok close your eyes!" In either stubbornness or mere defiance he keeps them open, arms crossed across his open jacket, slight smirk forming growing by the second at her apparent frustration geared towards him.
"Nope."
"Come on you promised!"
"Did I? Thinking, thinking."
"Yes you did! It was -"
"Oy! I said I was thinking no fair interrupting Rose Tyler." She sticks her tongue out for a response while stepping closer to the center console with all its buttons, levers, and knobs of every shape and size.
"Well it's not my fault your memory is failing Doctor. It was bound to happen eventually being over 900 and all. The fact remains you promised me a go at controlling a trip in the Tardis. Don't worry I know what I am doing."
"It's not your abilities I doubt, I do have faith you can properly handle the task. Its just that I, oh it's silly!" She steps again this time back towards him away from the controls.
"What is it?"
"I don't trust you! Oh don't give me that look! I am very particular about who can touch my control on my ship. I suppose it's pride?" Once more Rose returns to the circular panel and without further hesitation or conversation spins, slams and jiggles various controls soon the entire ship gently rumbles and shakes. At its seizing, grinning wide she points towards the door.
"Why did you do that for? Where did you take us?"
"It was time to learn how and relinquish control for once. And go look." Eying her suspiciously the Doctor steps to the door, opens it to a sunny day in a city of possibility London.
"A bit unoriginal don't you think Rose?"
"If the Tardis behaved herself it's July 6th, 1986, the day my parents meet."
"Great! More humans and your damn domestics! Now this why I should always be left in control." She walks towards pausing to give his arm a pat before stepping out to the sidewalk.
"Come now we both know your more sentimental than you care to admit. Lets witness the start of a love story huh?"
"If you insist."
"I do."
