"En-chan, would you at least help me out in doing our Performance Task!" a certain student yelled at his classmate
"Yeah, yeah. Ne Atsushi, what are we doing again?" En said
"Uh, you're so lazy to even listen, En-chan" Atsushi pouted, "We are doing a Chemistry Experiment remember. Now, I'll tell you the chemicals and other materials that we will use and you will give it to me, okay?"
"Sure, whatever" En said
"Okay," Atsushi said as he started reading the list, "pass me the Erlenmeyer Flask and a beaker"
"Here" En said as he gave the Erlenmeyer Flask and the Beaker"
"Thank you" Atsushi said, "Now pass me the…"
5 minutes later…
"I think this is alright" En said
"No it's still wrong, En-chan" Atsushi explained, "The color of our experiment is Yellow, and the others are Orange"
"30 seconds left, class" sensei yelled
"Well, let's put this chemical here" En said as he poured a chemical to the experiment
"No, wait En-chan, not that!" Atsushi yelled at En and pushed him back. Suddenly…
BOOM!
…their experiment exploded. The good news is that nobody was splattered by Atsushi and En's experiment, bad news…
"Oi Kinugawa-san, wake up! Wake up!" sensei yelled
"Oi Atsushi, wake up!" En yelled as he kept slapping his cheek but Atsushi is still not awake.
"Someone, call the Ambulance!" sensei yelled at the class
"Hai, sensei!" a certain silver haired boy replied
"There's still a pulse" sensei said
Few seconds later…
"THE STRETCHER'S READY!" a medic yelled
"1…2…3 lift!" another medic said as he lifted Atsushi's body
The medics are carrying Atsushi to the Ambulance. When the ambulance left the school, the bell suddenly rang. The class started leaving the Chemistry lab. En felt so guilty because if he didn't pour the chemical to their experiment, Atsushi wouldn't be badly hurt.
"Oi, Yufuin!" a familiar voice yelled at him
"Oh it's the Student Council President, Kusata Kinshiro, what do you want?" En yelled
"How dare you hurt (my) Atsushi!" Kinshiro said angrily
"It is not my fault, Kaichou!" En replied
"I saw you pour a half of NO4 in the experiment" Kinshiro accuse, "NO4 is extremely dangerous if you pour more than ¼ of it. NO4 is not even supposed to be in the experiment"
"Okay I get it." En said, "Besides, why would you care about Atsushi, you're not even that close to him?"
"Kinugawa-san is one of the people who respects me as a classmate, a batch mate, and, most importantly, a Student Council member." Kinshiro said as he crossed his arms, "Unlike you, he's intelligent, hard-working, and a serious guy, so I respect him"
"Whatever, I'm going to visit him in the hospital" En said as he tried to leave Kinshiro
"No you are not" Kinshiro said as he grabbed En's wrist, "I'm not allowing the person who caused this incident to go outside the school. You will be meeting the principal after club"
"I still got time, the club is always 1 hour and Binan Hospital is near the school" En said as Kinshiro let go of En's wrist
"You still need to get permission from the President of your club, the Teacher in Charge, and Student Council President" Kinshiro explained in a low tone, more like an angry tone, "Since your President is the one you sent to the hospital, you still can ask your Vice, but the Student Council will not allow you to leave the campus"
"Dammit" En said softly
"Now go to your club at once" Kinshiro ordered
"Fine" En said in defeat
Binan Hospital
In Room 137, Kinugawa Atsushi is resting. He cannot move his right leg due to the explosion that caused his fracture. It's a good thing that En didn't get hurt. Suddenly a knock on his door was heard, "Knock. Knock. Knock."
"Come in" Atsushi said
"Are you feeling okay?" a silver boy said
"Kusa-chan, it's so nice of you to visit!" Atsushi said, "Anyway, I'm fine"
Kinshiro looked at Atsushi's right leg, "How is your leg?"
"The doctor said I can remove my cast after 2 weeks." Atsushi replied
"When are you leaving the hospital?" Kinshiro asked
"He said that I can leave later," Atsushi replied, "but I still have to get my stuff back in school"
"I already took care of that" Kinshiro said as he showed Atsushi's bag
"You still haven't changed at all, Kusa-chan" Atsushi said happily, "I'm glad you were the first to visit me"
"Of course, At-chan" Kinshiro said, "I am your childhood friend"
Atsushi just laughed at Kinshiro. He forgot how funny Kinshiro can be when he blushes.
"You know," Kinshiro said, "my offer is still on"
"I already told you, Kusa-chan" Atsushi said, "I don't want to join the Student Council"
"Why not?" Kinshiro asked, "You're the 2nd intelligent in school, why don't you want to join?"
"I would like too, but I don't want to leave my friends behind" Atsushi explained
Kinshiro then looked down on the floor. He was rejected a lot of times by Atsushi. He was supposed to be the Vice President of Binan, but his answer is a no.
"By the way, did I miss anything during Science period?" Atsushi asked
"Well, sensei said you and Yufuin-san can do the experiment again next week" Kinshiro once looked again to Atsushi and replied, "Also, Yufuin-san will be in detention for a week."
"But it is also my fault, I told En-chan to get NO4 by mistake. Don't I have detention?" Atsushi said
"Well technically, no" Kinshiro said, "But that doesn't matter, what matters is that you are okay, At-chan"
Suddenly, Kinshiro pushed Atsushi head, and he was brought only millimeters away from Kinshiro's face. A blush began to creep up Atsushi's cheeks. "I'll never let Yufuin take you away from me," He said, his lips ghosting over Atsushi's, "because you belong to me."
It happened so fast, but Kinshiro felt his soft lips make contact with Atsushi. Of course, Atsushi was surprised at first, but then, he closed his eyes, and let the experience pass. It was like blissful oblivion, sweeter than chocolate, better than fighting those weird monsters.
All too soon, Kinshiro broke away. Atsushi was disappointed at the loss of contact, but Kinshiro whispered in his ear, "I miss you."
"I miss you too, Kusa-chan" Atsushi replied with a smile.
