Disclaimer- I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
I put my hands behind my head and rested it on the sandy ground. Salt water lapped at my feet and the sun shined down on me, making me close my eyes. Annabeth. My heart thumped her name. I heard it when I walked, and when I thought, it was always at the back of my mind, sounding magical. Her blonde hair curled around my thoughts as I drifted to sleep.
Annabeth leaned over me, the sun shining through her blonde curls, her tan darker then ever. "Percy, Percy," she sang, her gray eyes pouring into my own. A smiled tugged at her lips as I tried to talk, but no words came out. Annabeth played with me fingers, which lay immobile at my side. She stood up, and waved me good-bye. I struggled to get up but my body was too heavy.
"Percy. Percy. Percy!" I woke with a start, to see Annabeth leaning over me, looking exactly like she did in my dream, with her eyebrows furrowed.
"Look alive, Percy."
"Hey, Annabeth. What's up?" I asked coolly, standing up and dusting myself off.
"Chiron wants you."
"Oh, okay." Disappointment drowned out any other words. I walked slowly toward the Big House. Annabeth. Annabeth. Annabeth…
