Umbrella

Umbrella

Summary: Has nothing to do with the song! Cute one-shot that takes place after "Dethdad". It was a writing challenge to me from Chikara.

Pairing: Skwisgaar/Toki

Rating/Warnings: PG-13 for some language.

Disclaimer: I don't own Metalocalypse. Small and Blancha do, got that?

Toki kneeled in the snow, staring up at his father's old house. The snow fell gracefully from the sky, landing in Toki's hair, making it sticky and wet.

Skwisgaar walked up to the brunette. He had one hand in his pocket and the other hand holding an umbrella over his head. He sighed, automatically getting depressed by Toki's appearance.

"Come ons, Toki." The blonde man said. "It's times to gos home. You'ves been standings out heres for hours."

Toki didn't answer. He kept staring at the house on the hill.

"Toki, he's not cominks back. He's dead." Skwisgaar became slightly irritated. "Whys you cares, anyways, huh? I thought yous hateds your father." He stopped when he saw Toki's expression change from stoic to angry. At least Skwisgaar was getting something out of this. "What's de hells is your problems, now? Yous mad at me?" Toki turned to face his band-mate.

"Whys you gots to be mean, Skwisgaar?" Toki's voice wavered from the cold and from crying earlier. Skwisgaar could see the frozen tears on the Norwegian's face.

"I's not beinks mean. I's statinks a fact." The older man replied. "Yous hates your dad and now he's dead. You shouldn'ts be dis sad."

"Dat's nots de only reasons why I's sad." Toki tried to wipe off the dried tears with his hand, and then went back to staring ahead at the house. "Neversmind. You wouldn'ts understands."

Skwisgaar gave Toki a skeptical look. He didn't know what Toki was talking about and, frankly, didn't really want to. He just wanted to go home already. He stepped closer to Toki, letting the umbrella cover his band-mate a little. The brunette looked up at Skwisgaar again.

"Yous has plenties of times to be sad at home. Let's gos." Skwisgaar said.

"Whys you has an umbrella?" Toki asked, changing the subject.

"I's don't wants my hair to be a mess." He answered. "Likes yours. Yours is fucked up. Yous probablies goinks to catch da flus."

Now that he mentioned it, Toki was feeling very cold and weak. He shivered uncontrollably, wrapping his arms around himself.

Skwisgaar sighed again, feeling a little sorry for the younger man, for no reason in particular, just because. The blonde took his hand out of his pocket and extended it to Toki. The Norwegian stared at it for a second. "Takes it." Skwisgaar commanded. Toki looked up at the Swede, then back at his hand, and took it like he was told. Skwisgaar helped Toki stand up.

"Looks at you. Yous completely soakinks wet!" The blonde said, looking at Toki's soaked pants and hair. "Gets under heres." He motioned for Toki to stand under the umbrella with him.

"Uh…" The brunette was taken aback by Skwisgaar's kindness. "Thanks, Skwisgaar."

"Ja, whatevers." The lead guitarist replied. "Just don'ts gets me too wet."

"Okay." Toki got under the umbrella with Skwisgaar, and together they walked back to the Dethcopter.

Yeah, it's short and sweet. Not what I usually write. Well, hope ya liked it.
