Peeta and I are walking in the Meadow In the late afternoon. Things are getting back to normal. The meadow is green and lush. Buildings are being rebuilt. People are returning, and Peeta and I are becoming close again.

That's when I start to wonder about that night in the shop's cellar. The conversation between Gale and Peeta that I overheard. The words of Gale still in my head. Katniss will pick whoever she thinks she can't survive without.

The problem is I don't know. Gale has been gone for several months, but I'm doing fine. Sort of. I do miss him a lot sometimes. But, then there's Peeta. Always here for me, even though sometimes he thinks I'm a capitol mutt. But when I think of it when Gales gone I'm sad and miss him. When Peeta's gone, I'm a wreck and all I want is for him to be safe and with me. I have to tell him.

"Peeta."

"Yes."

"When we were in the cellar that one night at Tigris's store. I woke up and heard you and Gale talking." When I said that he looked kind of nervous "I heard him say I will choose who I can't live without."

"It's okay, I know you love him." Says Peeta with disappointment hinged in his words.

"You didn't let me finish. I miss Gale, yes. But when you were captured by the capitol. Despite all the war, bombings, and training going on. All I could think about was that I want you home safe and with me. I want you by my side. And when I think of whom I can't live without Peeta, it's you. I'm a wreck without you. Without knowing your safe or alive. Peeta, it's you." There it out

He looks at me for a second, but then his pupils start going in and out. He cups his ears, and I know he is having flash backs. It scares me for a second knowing how I just told him how I feel and a second later he could have the urge to kill me. Just when I was going to walk away he grabbed me rist and asked…

"Katniss I have to know. Do you love me? Real or Not Real?"

"Real."

With that he leaned in and kissed me and I knew that he will be mine forever.
