He rolled past her in his 1964 Mustang, he recognized her instantly. But there was no way her could recognize him, not in her drugged state. He turned around in his car and rolled up next to her. "hop in" he said nodding towards the passenger seat. "Where you gonn'a take me big boy?" she said with a trying to be seductive smile. "Home" he said with a stern voice. "But I don't want'a go home, unless its your place?" she was so drugged she didn't realize him get out of his car. "Alice please get in my car." He tried to talk her but she started on a never ending laughing fit. "How do you know my name?" she said after she had calmed down enough to speak. "I know Richie" once he said his name her face immediately went dark. He reached toward her but she dodged away. "Don't come even close to me" Alice slurred. "How do I know you're not gonn'a kidnap me and take me strait to him so he can kill me?" She started to sober up with fear. Hurt flashed across his eyes. He wanted her to trust him; he wanted to keep her safe. "Please I promise I won't let him near you, but only if you come with me can I protect you." He tried to mentally urge her to come with him but the drugs were still too strong. You think after 600 hundred years I could break through a drug haze he thought to himself. "How can I trust you?" She stared at him with her eyes, trying to get a read on him but couldn't. "You just can." She hesitated before asking one more question. "You don't know Richie do you? You know me because you were at that party a couple nights ago. I recognize you now!" She exclaimed. He nodded his head "yes you are right. Now can you trust me?" He held out his hand. She hesitated before taking it. He steadied her as she walked to the passenger side of the car. "So where we going?" she sat down and looked at him as he drove away. "We're going home." She looked puzzled. "We're going to my house tonight because its only better to get you cleaned up so you can go home. "Ok, Ok so where do ya live?" He combed his hand through his dark hair. "I live in Florence, by the coast." He stared off in to the distance. "That's like an hour away right?" her face looked actually interested in where he lives. "Yeah it's a little bit of a drive but if you sleep it goes by fast." She looked at him shocked. "Do you really think I'm going to fall asleep here with you in this car? I barely know you!" she truly looked offended. "No I was just saying that sleep may help you sober up more." She dropped her jaw at him. "Are you serious? Do you really think I'm high right now?" she laughed a little bit to herself. "I only acted like that to get you." She shook her head.
