Pairings: SasuNaru/ Magnet Shipping (MINE!)
This was originally supposed to be part of the first chapter of Valentine's Day: Memory Trail, but it wasn't written till about a week after I uploaded it.
I guess... I feel guilt of not uploading anything for Naruto's birthday (I celebrated by wearing orange and offering a cup of beef ramen t othe SasuNaru God, Tobio, and praying for another kiss miracle in the future chapters/episodes). So this is for him!
The manga has been alive for 14 years! HAPPY FOURTEEN YEARS AND HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY NARUTO! :D
Summary: Things aren't like before for Sasuke and Naruto. Will their relationship fade or will it prosper?
Warnings: SasuNaru and implied slash.
Flashback
"If you want to read the ending-"
'You need to read Memory Trail."
A sigh resounded through the small apartment as Naruto walked idly through. Kakashi had sent him and Sakura home soon after he arrived (three hours late this time). Sasuke was in the hospital recovering from his episode with Itachi. However, whenever he went over there, Sakura was there tending to an unresponsive Uchiha.
Naruto flopped on his bed, thinking of the one time they had been alone.
Blue eyes stared after his pink-haired teammate. She wasn't as hard-headed as she was when they first became a team. The blond couldn't help but feel bad, though. The reason for her change was tied to the recent Chuunin Exams; an event most of Konoha and all of Suna wish to forget.
Though… Naruto sneaked a glance at Sasuke who was staring at the hospital bed's blankets. She's been hogging all the time he should've had with Sasuke. Unfortunately, Tsunade-baa-chan would come after him if he told Sakura to "shove off" for no apparent reason. So, yes, he was happy for this moment he had with his boyfriend.
Sasuke looked up when Naruto sat in the chair that Sakura had been occupying. The other's smile brightened when he did so. "Hey, Sasuke…"
Sasuke stared at him blankly before looking straight ahead, not giving a response. Biting his lower lip, the blond stamped the down the slight hurt from the other's reaction. Naruto tried again, determined to get feedback from the other. "C'mon bastard, answer someone when they say h-."
Sasuke's eyes turned to Naruto again, stopping the jinchuriki from going on. The hurt that Naruto had previously stamped down sprang back up with its best friend fear.
The glint in Sasuke's eyes- it was so angry. This… he had seen that glint a few times and each time, he was always frozen with fear. It was something he always saw in the eyes of the villagers, whether if he was just walking to his apartment or if they decided to do something drastic, until recently.
Naruto didn't respond when the door opened, allowing their female teammate to enter. She had a pleasant smile on her face and was carrying a tray filled with food for the three of them to share.
After Sakura returned, Naruto quickly ate his share before leaving. He hasn't visited since.
Shivering, Naruto tried to forget the raw and harsh emotion in his boyfriend's eyes. A ball of ice dropped into his stomach. Were they even in a relationship anymore?
Naruto jumped when the sudden knocking of the door brought him out of his musings.
Who could that be?
If we want to go chronologically in the ninjaverse, it would be-
Before We Break
The first three-four chapters of Valentine's Day: Memory Trail
Pretty Angels Deserve Flowers
The remaining two-three chapters of Valentine's Day: Memory Trail
Remember, it's all ONE universe, so basically the same, huge story in separate parts.
I hope you enjoyed this! Please feel free to fav, follow, and review! :D
