A/N: Meh. This is not part of the ToFF universe. It's just that I had to write it after seeing 'Common Ground'. I (usually) like to keep Sheppard het and McKay paired with Radek. But it was those damned plot bunnies…

McKay stood nervously by Colonel Sheppard's curtain. Carson nearly ran over him a he came out.
"Christ! Rodney! Will you relax lad? You can see him now." Carson walked away shaking his head, mumbling something about over zealous people that we know.
McKay ripped through the curtain to see that John Sheppard was perfectly fine, except for the feeding mark that the Wraith had left him. Sheppard was only wearing hospital pants, with no shirt, which made McKay gulp.
"Hey Rodney!" John said. "I was wondering when you would come and visit."
"Really?" McKay gulped again
"Yeah. You some how usually beat both Teyla, Ronan, and Elizabeth for the spot of the first visitor." He snickered. "The only one that beats you is Doc. Beckett."
"Well… yeah…" A nurse came in with John's lunch.
"Hey," John poked Rondey. "You want to share the Jell-O?"
McKay looked at the Jell-O. Sure he would love to share the Jell-O. There was just one problem.
"Sheppard, I would love to, there is just one problem."
"And that would be?"
"It's yellow. You know lemon flavored. Filled with things that would kill me?"
"Oh…"
"But thank you for the offer. I need to go… I have things to do…"
Acting on impulse McKay kissed Sheppard in the forehead. Then started to retreat.
But before he could leave the confines of the curtains John grabbed his arm and pulled Rodney to him.
He kissed Rodney once on the lips then let him go. McKay looked shocked and left the infirmity.
John leaned back on his pillows. "What's a cup of Jell-O between friends?" He asked himself.
