"Thanks for letting me come to your Training practice! Toro was amazing! And also, thanks for coming to the Contest. It was ten times better with you." the crimson-eyed boy said with a smile on his face.
"Oh, you LIKED Training? It's so boring! But, anyways, thank YOU for letting me come to the Contest. Even though I was pretty close to stabbing Gold over there." Sapphire replied, scowling at Gold.
It had been only a week since Ruby had asked Sapphire out, but it seemed like they knew each other forever. They'd hung out in secret, knowing Norman would kill Ruby if he found out and the Professor would go insane, if he knew.
The young couple talked awhile, Sapphire complimenting Ruby's and his Pokemon's great musical talents, while Ruby commented about how he liked Sapphire's great battling techniques and the way she took charge.
Sapphire looked down and saw her shoelace was untied. She reached over and starting tying it and felt Ruby's arms around her.
"You know, I'm not letting go!" Ruby said, with an unusual amount of confidence and a smirk on his face.
"ACK! RUBY! LET GOO! I'M TRYING TO TIE MY SHOE!" Sapphire shrieked.
"Then tie your shoe!" Ruby said, laughing.
When Sapphire successfully tied her shoe, with Ruby's arms around her, he pulled her close and softly laughed. She was furiously turning red as his eyes, and looked straight ahead, not wanting to make eye contact.
"You know, I was waiting all day to see you. I always look forward hanging out with you." Ruby said in her ear, "Today was amazing, thanks so much, Sapphire."
Sapphire was silent. Suddenly, she felt his lips gently brush against her cheek.
The only thought in her head: He. Kissed. Me.
She looked at him, straight into his eyes.
"I'm actually surprised I did that," Ruby said, as red as she was.
Sapphire couldn't stop shaking, but her life was now complete.
