Sakura knew that Naruto had never been one to mince words. He wasn't fancy or verbose—hell, he didn't even have half the vocabulary most people did—but that was what made him special. He just told the truth, with maybe a "believe it" tacked onto the end for emphasis.
So, even though Sakura had never thought about it, it really wasn't that surprising-
