I really had this idea in my head since the Penelope episode, even though I LOVED it I couldn't help but think what if it was Reid who had a date with a hot women who wound up shooting him?

The fight had been dumb. Reid had mentioned how a women had come on to him. Had handed him her phone number.

"I'm not the type of guy who gets phone numbers like that," he told Morgan who sighed.

"Reid-"

"No, it's okay Morgan. I've accepted this. It's not who I am. That's why I don't know what to do...Should I call her? Or should I let it go? Something feels strange. "

"Maybe you should trust your instincts then," Morgan suggested. Reid looked at him rather sharply.

"So you agree then? You agree that it's strange?"

"Well yeah, like you said this type of stuff doesn't happen to you!"

"So what?" Reid challenged, feeling defensive. "You think a hot women in her wildest dreams wouldn't hit on me? That I'm that ugly?"

"What?" Morgan cried out. "I didn't say that!"

"You know what, save your speech, Morgan," Reid growled. "I know exactly what you think." With that he walked of in anger-more at himself-leaving Morgan flabbergasted.

"I don't know what I did wrong, baby girl," Morgan told Garcia. "I think this is the first fight Reid and I had and I don't even know what the hell happened."

"Okay Chocolate Thunder, I love you, but sometimes you can be really dense," Garcia told him.

"Excuse me?"

"Reid wasn't looking for you to agree with him, even if you do. He wanted encouragment. He wanted you to tell him to go ahead! Call the girl! He was wanting a boost of confidence and-"

"And I tore it down," Morgan groaned. Garcia nodded.

"How could I have been so stupid?" He muttered, feeling like an idiot. She chuckled.

"Good thing I only like you for your looks."

He stood up.

"I should talk to him."

"You can't, he's already on a date."

"He is?"

"Yup. He told me that if you were looking for him he was on a date with an incredibly hot women and not to bother him for the entire night."

Morgan winced.

"I guess I saw that one coming."

Garcia patted him on the shoulder.

"It's okay sugar, it's not just you. You can't help it. You're a guy. Guy's are naturally idiots sometimes."

Morgan glared at her.

"You're lucky I love you," he told her and she laughed.

"I know I am."

He sighed.

"I guess I should go home then. I'll apologize to Reid in the morning."

She nodded and slowly he left. She shook her head, smiling at how slow he was at picking up what had happened. Unaware of what was going to happen.

Reid was nervous as he walked up his place. He didn't know what came over him, of asking her if she wanted to see his apartment. He had never done that before, but he wanted to show Morgan he wasn't some weirdo. He didn't intend to have sex with her, he just wanted to talk in a place more private. Get to know her better. He turned away after thinking about kissing her on the steps and showed her inside.

She sat on the couch as he started the fire. Sweat trickled down from his face and it wasn't from the heat.

"How romantic," she smiled at him and tugged at his tie and pulled him into a kiss.

He didn't fight. As he sank into the couch she smiled as she reached towards her pants. His heart began to race. This wasn't what he had in mind...or was it? He wasn't a player, but he wanted to prove that maybe he could be...if he really wanted to be. His knuckles stiffened.

He wasn't used to this.

"Spencer?"

"Y...Yes?" Damn it, why did he stutter?"

"I've been wanting to do this all night."

His eyes widened as he saw the gun.

The neighbor's dog started to barck as gunshots were heard in the dead of night.

She slowly picked up her purse and left the bleeding Dr. Spencer Reid slouched on his couch...
