What if Zelda and Link's roles were reversed? The title of the story means "Lost in the sky". What if Zelda had been born a princess but raised a commoner? I do not own Legend of Zelda. Rated T for violence later on.

1. Prologue

Prologue: Lost

A King and Queen of a kingdom called Skyrule lived in harmony with the people and the sky but upon learning the Queen was pregnant…The king became afraid. 9 months passed and the Queen went into labor; birthing a baby girl: a princess with golden hair and blue eyes like the sky. As the Queen lay exhausted from the birth the baby wailed. On the surface the Queen there had given birth to a prince. Just three weeks after the Princess Zelda's birth a tragedy happened. The Queen woke to her daughter's fearful crying. She ran to the Royal Nursery where she saw a young woman in black standing on the balcony railing with the baby princess in her arms. A flash of lightning caused the woman to fall and drop the princess. The princess was found by a harp-maker on his way home and with his wife raised the child. 16 years later….
