Hi, first english fiction, so be kind with my lexical and syntaxical mistakes.
Well, I decided to translate an old fiction of mine, because I thought there would be a bigger audience. For french speaking people, You can go to the original version trough my profile page : it is called sourire pour sourire, and you can read many other as well. Then, I let you there, hoping you'll enjoy.
What seduces in Aizen is his smile. It is said reassuring.
What frightens in Ichimaru is his smile. It is said deceitful.
However, Ichimaru's smile is a smile that announces immediately the character's true color. When he look at you smiling, you know if he means good or evil to you.
Ichimaru always found unfair being called a snake. On the contrary, his expression is more honest than most of the people's. Matsumoto often reproached him for that, not saying "honesty", but "crudeness".
Because they have him surrounded since his birth, because one of them tries to manipulate him since he first entered the Gotei 13, Ichimaru knows the true snakes. They're those you trust the most, and turn against you once they have sucked all of your usefulness.
Like Aizen, for example. From the very first day, the very first smile, Ichimaru knew he couldn't trust him. And that's why he has the advantage upon his master. Because Aizen believes that he can trust him, that he's going to betray him, not the contrary.
The smile of a true snake is nothing deceitful, it's reassuring. And Ichimaru's deceitful smile reassures Aizen.
