AFTER THEIR 7TH YEAR IN HOGWARTS, HARRY AND HERMIONE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO
THE MUGGLE WORLD TO STUDY COLLEGE.
That night, Hermione was alone in their house with her dog, Pup [who was given by Harry because Hermione decided to give Crookshanks to Ginny]. Her parents weren't there because they were out of town. With nothing to do, Hermione decided to watch television after she had dinner. She sat there on the couch in front of the television with Pup beside her. After a few hours of watching, she decided to go to bed. When she looked at the clock, it was already half past twelve. She turned to Pup, "C'mon old boy, time to get some sleep." Then she went upstairs with Pup trotting behind her. Once inside her room, she quickly got into her pajamas then snuggled under the covers of her bed. A few hours later, she heard Pup whimpering below her bed. Because she was so tired to bother looking down, she just let her hand fall to the side of her bed. And if Pup would lick her hand, she would know if he was all right. After a few seconds of waiting, Hermione felt something lick her palm and that assured her of Pup's condition. She then went back to sleep. When Hermione woke up, Pup was nowhere. She already searched the entire house but he was nowhere to be found. She went back upstairs to her room and there she found the dog swimming in its own blood inside her bathroom. When she looked up, she saw some writings on the wall, which said, "HUMANS ALSO LICK". When she couldn't stand what's been happening, she allowed herself to be swallowed by the darkness. When her parents arrived, they found Hermione lying unconscious in front of her bathroom door with Pup's body inside.
