Literally What You Asked For

"Say what you mean and mean what you say."

A/N: Castiel's happy to oblige.

Literal Request

The doors burst open as Castiel strode into the room. With a wave of his hand the demons were thrown across the room. A single gesture with the other, and they were exorcised.

Castiel cut the Winchester's bonds and helped them up from the sacrificial altar.

Without even looking round, Castiel thrust his angel sword into the chest of the demonic leader creeping up behind him.

Dean gaped in admiration. "Cas, I could kiss you, man."

"Okay," shrugged the angel.

Sam averted his eyes, chuckling as Dean's outraged squawking gradually subsided. "Dude, like you didn't know how literal he is!"

Literal Translation

Garth jumped out of his car and waved to the brothers.

"Hi guys," he called, out of breath as he helped Kevin from the passenger seat. "This is it. We've finally cracked the translation."

"You're sure?" asked Sam, not able to hide his scepticism as he took in the young prophet's exhausted appearance.

"Hey, I double-checked it myself," Garth added indignantly.

They inscribed the eldritch sigils and cast the ritual as instructed; invoking the name of the ancient entity with ultimate power over the tablets.

"The demonic pharmacy is shut..." played the automated message.

"Literal translation was it?" asked Dean.

A/N: Crowley's one tough boss.

Literal Meaning

Crowley strolled into his sumptuous sitting room and helped himself to a generous measure of Glencraig. He sighed in satisfaction as he relaxed after a hard day torturing souls, before he realized there was something missing.

"Dean?" he called. He frowned at the sight of the empty manacles.

"Someone had better find me my Winchester, or I swear I will tear you all limb from limb," Crowley screamed.

Watching as the Impala raced from the grounds of the mansion, one quivering minion turned to the other. "The perks are great, but I do wish we had a less literal boss."
