This is my first Lie to me fanfic story. I'm really interested in hearing any comments, reviews, ideas, etc. I am also sorry if there all some grammar/spelling mistakes, I wrote it on my phone.

He just stared at her. His deep light brown all seeing eyes scanned her face for anything that would tell him she was lying. He couldn't get anything, not a single micro expression. It was as if she was telling the complete truth. The girl spoke again leaning closer to him, resting her arms on the cold silver metal table that separated the two. "My mother is a giant lepoard-printed polka dotted whale." Cal lightman scanned her face for the final time. "Your bloody brilliant luv; I can't get a single thing off that smug little face of yours." Lightman rose from the table looking at her questioningly, his head tilted to one side, eyes squinted, posture sloppy. "Does this mean I get the internship?" Lightman walked towards the door and opened it; "Nope," he slammed the door to the room and walked down the hall. The girl followed him out of the room, frustrated and confused, she was not one to just let something go.
Gillian Foster, Eli Loker, and Ria Torres walked out of the lab where they had just watched the whole interview between the two. At one end of the hall was the girl, 5"6, dark brown short wavy hair, green eyes, heart shaped face, dressed in skinny jeans, black leather boots, white shirt, and a loose black hoody. At the other end, walking away from the whole ordeal was Cal lightman. She yelled at him. "This is B.S and you know it! I just lied to you and you couldn't get one thing off me. You know I deserve this job, so why don't you put your ego behind yourself and give me the internship?" Foster, Loker, and Toress just watched, slightly surprised that this girl would stand up to him lie that, but she was right, she did deserve the internship. Cal just continued walking, "You can lie, that doesn't mean you will be useful here." She started to walk down the hall. " Haven't you ever heard the phrase, it takes one to know one? You don't think that if I can lie convincingly to your face, I will be able to tell if other people are trying to do the same?" Lightman turned around and walked up to her, getting into her face. "I don't like your attitude." He said to her staring directly into her eyes. "Right back at you." She said staring back into his eyes.
"Look luv we don't run a day care center around here, this is serious work."
"If I was interested in taking naps all day, do you think I would be standing up to your right now, fighting for the internship?"
Cal lightman said nothing. They stared at each other for a few more seconds, and then he spoke up.
"Alright than. You got the job. I'll expect to see you here first thing tomorrow morning. Not a minute late."
"Okay."
"Okay."
They looked at each other for a few more seconds.
"Well be off than. Come on get out of here."
He watched as she walked down the hall and exited the Lightman group. There was something special and different about her and lightman was completely fascinated.
