WARNING: CHARACTOR DEATH
~Couldn't save you from the start…~
"Only one… and one alone." The menacing laugh echoed down the hallway making the queen stop in her tracks. She stood absolutely still for a moment before her daughter, Azkadillia, strode by laughing. "Who's the angel now mother?" she asked in a mocking tone making her heart skip beats.
"DG…" she gasped racing down the corridor and making a sharp turn into her youngest daughter's room.
"DG!" she screeched.
~…Love you so it hurts my soul…~
She threw herself down next to her daughter's body. The girl was no longer breathing.
~For so long I tried to shield you from the world…~
"I'm so sorry darling," she sobbed into the child's hair, "I should have paid more attention. I should have saved you from her."
~You couldn't face that freedom on your own. Here I am…~
She scooped the lifeless body into her arms, rocking slightly. She held her breath, making the room eerily silent.
~Left in… Silence…~
"Forgive me my angel for I have failed you," she whispered, her tears splashing onto the girls quickly paleing face.
"You gave up the fight… you left me behind… you will always be mine… I know deep inside…" the queen's voice trailed off as she cradled her daughter in her arms for the last time. Her life would never be the same.
A single daisy rested upon the freshly planted tombstone of Dorothy Gale, princess and daughter to the now broken queen. When her eldest daughter demanded the throne, she simply gave it to her having no willpower left to fight. Lavender Eyes stood now over the grave of the one she loved most, refusing to let herself cry again. As she knelt beside it, placing a fresh flower next to the old one, she traced over the letters in her daughter's name as her eyes lingered on the lettering below it. The phrase was simple and has been carved by the queen herself as a final goodbye to her daughter: All that's done's forgiven.
