Third Person's Pov

Percy and Annabeth were at the beach of Camp Half Blood three years after the giant war had finished. It was a peaceful night, but Annabeth had something on her mind that she needed to ask.

"Hey, Percy." Annabeth said looking his way. Percy suppressed his cocky smile and held her hand.

"Yes, Annabeth."

Annabeth took a deep breath. "Am I pretty?" She asked.

Percy snickered and said: "No."

"Am I… I don't know… fat?"

Percy laughed. "Yes. You're really fat."

"Do you want to be with me until I die?"

"No. Why are you asking me these questions?"

"Okay, last one." Annabeth's voice broke as she said her next and last question. It would break her heart if she didn't get the right answer. "Would you cry if I walked away from you?"

"No. I wouldn't cry."

Annabeth started to get tears in her eyes. She kicked the sand beneath her feet and ran.

Percy saw Annabeth's tears coming down. He ran towards her and grabbed her wrist. Annabeth struggled to get free from his gasp but Percy wanted to tell her why he said those answers.

"Do you know why you're not pretty?" Percy asked as Annabeth struggled to get free.

"Why should I answer you?"

"Because you're not pretty. No way in Hades are you pretty or cute." Annabeth felt like bashing him up. "You're beautiful, Annabeth." Annabeth didn't believe him, but she stopped struggling to get free. Annabeth waited for Percy to talk. "The only thing fat about you is your heart. I don't want to be with you until I die; I need to be with you until I die and after I DIE. You're the only one that won't let me be killed by anyone."

"What about my last question?" Annabeth asked.

Percy pulled her onto his body and wrapped his arm around her waist. He whispered to her in his deep soft voice: "I wouldn't cry if you left me . . . I would die. That's how much I love you, wise-girl."
