Summary: A girl named Chris finds her fairy tale in one of the strangest places.
Fairy Tales
Once upon a time, in a kingdom where the stars shined brightly, and there were beautiful landscapes, there was a little girl. Her name was Chris. Here is her story.
Chris had always grown up a little different than most girls. Her life was nothing like the fairy tales that she read about. In fairy tales your parents are kings and queens, you live in a castle, and have a fairy godmother. But that wasn't Chris's life. Far from it, in fact.
Her kingdom was Vegas. The only shining stars were the bright lights of the Strip. The beautiful landscapes, not so much. Just on the postcards.
But somewhere in all those things that would normally change a person, and not for the better, a little girl names Chris, was living in it. Trying to make her life a fairy tale. But maybe it's when we stop expecting fairy tales, that we actually receive them.
