Disclaimer: For all intents and purposes for the entirety of this story I do not believe in anyway that I own any characters or locations—they are property of ABC/Disney.

A/N: First let me introduce myself to the new readers out there. I'm Katie and have been a headstrong fan fic writer for two years. I'm normally doing ABC Daytime, but I've decided to go to the Primetime side for this.

If you know me, then thank you for following me as I write something new and different—at least for me. I'll get you all back to your normally scheduled reading soon, but hang tight—I've never disappointed any of you before, have I? (And if I have I'm truly sorry for doing so—LOL)

As always—Everyone enjoy! Until next time—PCGirl.

Accidents occur all the time—

You hear of people getting hit by cars on the side of the highway.

Every now and then you'll hear of someone being run over by a tractor trailer truck,

and live to tell about it.

I wonder if anyone's ever been run over by a Ferry boat and lived to tell about it.

"Come on—just give it up Meredith. What's this lover's quarrel really about?" teased Izzy as she finished off her muffin for breakfast.

"Nothing. It's absolutely nothing."

"Fine—be that way. I mean you came home alone and didn't say a word to us all night. I thought I heard his car outside last night also."

"You must have been hearing things," I shrugged off and took a sip of my coffee. Why did I have to go to work today? Why couldn't I just crawl under a rock and stay there for a very long time?

"He did come by, and then he stayed outside for a half hour trying to get her attention at the window," said George as he walked into the kitchen, his whole person looks like he just rolled out of bed, the messy hair and wrinkled clothes, though I know he's been up for awhile—I never did fall asleep last night.

Busted. "Fine," I sigh. "Last night I met Derek's wife."

"His what!" yells Izzy as she spills coffee on her shirt. "Crap—I need to change."

"Yeah, we're going to be late," I say, walking past George and towards the stairs. "George—are you going to work like that?"

"No—I was just thinking—I'm sorry about Derek, I know you liked him and I thought he was cool, but he's just a normal jerk like any other guy around."

George made me smile at saying that—I didn't feel up to smiling at all but he got me to smile with that comment, "Thanks."

"Izzy—you've got post op patients that need to have final paperwork and instructions given to them," spouted Bailey this morning as we stood at the bottom of the steps in the lobby. I try not to glance over to where the events of last night happened but I do and that's when Bailey turns to me, "Grey—am I boring you?"

"No sir," I say quietly as I put my head down and avoid eye contact.

"Good. Sheppard wants you to scrub in with him on a procedure today."

My head flings up and I know she can see the panic in my eyes, "Is there a way I can trade with Izzy today?"

"No you cannot trade with Izzy today. If you and Sheppard are having a quarrel then I suggest you deal with it professionally. As long as you two continue to have an ethically wrong relationship you will have deal with any ups and downs. Am I making myself clear?"

"Yes sir," I say as I look at Izzy who's grinning at me. I roll my eyes and begin the trek up the stairs on Bailey's heels as she gives Christina and George their orders. This is going to be one very long day.
